THE Treehouse
Welcome to THE Treehouse.
Step onto the deck and youâre eye-level with the gums, kookaburras singing your morning score. Just 900m over the hill from the sand and backing directly onto the Otway Forest, The Treehouse gives you the best of Lorne in one private, soul-soothing stay.
Inside the Treehouse
Three light-filled levels blend character and comfort: reclaimed polished timber floors, soaring ceilings and sunlight everywhere. Gather in the open-plan living room for slow breakfasts and board games, then sink into movie nights on the wall-size projector in air conditioned comfort or by the crackling wood fire if its cold. Upstairs, enjoy a handcrafted pool table, a quiet workspace bathed in natural light, and a cosy couch to to share with family and friends. Bedrooms are designed for rest: two on the main level, plus a private air conditioned king suite with ensuite on the lower level with its own outside access. All bedrooms have smart TVs.
Outside & Gardens
The house is set on 1.5 acres of private, fan-shaped landscaped gardens that spill into the forest. Birds visit the balcony, kangaroos wander the valley, and panoramic sunsets paint the sky while you grill on the gas BBQ and dine outdoors. Follow the garden path to the Bali-inspired inside/outside bath-house: fling open the French doors and soak in a deep hot tub as coloured light pours through the sunburst window.

Would go back anytime!
The treehouse was a great stay for us during our Easter holidays. It's so close to the beaches and main town shopping strip yet once you are there its feels like a different world. Both indoor and outdoor areas are spacious so we didn't feel crowded. The huge private grounds backs directly into the Ottaway National park, and the wildlife is incredible. Lorne has so much to offer with its fab beaches, nature walks and waterfalls - but we just loved coming back to this peaceful and tranquil place to just relax and unwind with family and friends. We would go back there anytime - a perfect getaway.
Great stay, close to beach and shops (10 min walk) certainly will get the heart rate up walking back up the hill. Hose was amazing to stay at, wildlife at your back door, Great BBQ area and outdoor areas. Fireplace was a winner for us as it was quite cold when we were away, only 2 things I could suggest this house could improve on would be inside access to lower master bedroom as when itâs wet only way to access this room is via the outside of main house, no main tv in lounge room, did have a projector which was good but seems to be a bit outdated or could possibly have a freshen up as picture wasnât great. All Iâm all fantastic property, location and nothing more you could want out of a holiday. Will definitely be back
House is in a good location, close to the beach. Short walk to shops and beach, but a steep hill to get up on your way home. House was clean and tidy, although it needs a little maintenance. Beds are comfortable, but little water pressure in downstairs shower. Lovely deck area to enjoy wildlife and view is great looking out into the trees. Would consider staying here again.
The house is nice, though dated. Could have been cleaned more thoroughly. The steep ascent should be mentioned in property listing, as it is a problem for elderly/disabled people.
The garden is very nice.
Beautiful old treehouse, immaculately clean and quality appliances. The birdlife is spectacular and they are quite friendly too. Great walks at your doorstep, and the beach close enough for a short hike down/up bay street :)
A beautiful place to stay, delightfully set amidst the trees and expansive terraced garden. Especially loved the bath house where you can lie back and open the doors to nature. There's something for everyone, a pool table, large screen viewing in the lounge, lots of outdoor seating, cosy nooks to dream, warm wood fire and well appointed kitchen. We were very comfortable as it is a clean and well maintained property. Thank you for a very lovely Lorne holiday.
Fantastic beach house on the edge of the forest. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will return. The house is very tastefully set out and has real character and warmth (something that is often missing in a holiday rental). The owners have great taste and have obviously put some effort in to ensure that the house really feels like a holiday home. Rustic, with a real homely feel. Excellent.

Awesome Getaway
We stayed at The Treehouse for Easter. We are a family of 5. We didnât want to leave. It was just like home, only better. Great to relax and unwind. Loads of space. Location is beautiful. An easy walk down into town. Not so easy walk back. But do able.
The pool table with a big hit with the teenagers.
Loved it.

Total Relaxation
The Treehouse at Lorne is the perfect city escape. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with the smells of the forest and found the house nestled in a secluded location away from the road overlooking the treetops.
The house is well equipped with everything needed to both relax and restore and to head out and explore the beauty of the surrounding area.
Our favourite features of our stay were the expansive garden and holding plenty of shaded and sunny spots to relax with a book. Also, the huge bath overlooking the bushland and a brilliant kitchen for cooking up homemade breakfasts after an ocean swim to start the day.
There is a 'home away from home' feeling to the Treehouse that makes it difficult to leave but when we did we enjoyed the proximity to great cafes, and shops in the town centre and walking trails, waterfalls and beaches only a short drive away.
If you are after a retreat that offers peace, space and a fully catered for sanctuary for total relaxation this place is wonderful.
