The B’s Hive Cottage

This farmhouse-style home is perfect for family holidays, reunions, or maybe you're looking for a cosy cottage for two or four! Situated on a quiet rural lane with a huge tangled Oak tree, this cozy cottage has been lovingly renovated with a contemporary twist. It’s simple yet stylish dĂ©cor provides a comfortable tranquil haven; the perfect place to unwind in the hills of Southern California. It is ideal for activities such as walking, hiking and cycling, with amazing trails into National preserve just steps away. There are 2 comfortable bedrooms, designer kitchen fully appointed with restaurant quality oven/stove and all the comforts of home. You’ll have a juicer, crock pot, blender, hand mixer, griddle, and many more cooking tools.
There is ample outdoor space with seating, a storage/laundry shed and a fire pit area. The benefit of the stunning coastline and many interesting and exciting attractions only a car ride away.
Feel pampered in the soaker tub. Rest in steam-pressed linens, duvets and quality appointments. Truly a relaxing experience that feels like your miles away from anything, but just around the corner from all conveniences.

Upon booking a reservation, guests agree to a liability release and to sign liability waiver, hot tub waiver and pet waiver. Guest must ask permission to bring a pet(s) and verify breed. Guests must conform to my pet policy. No unregistered guests are permitted on the property. Guests over 18 yrs of age must sign liability and hot tub waiver before entering onto the property. Maximum of 4 guests. Any violation of this house rule may result in additional fees or immediate removal from premises.

We have stayed here several times. As always it is the perfect place while visiting our grandkids. Nancy is always available if you need or have any questions. Place is always clean and master bed is so.comfortable.

Great property, great location and great host support

We had an incredible stay of nearly six weeks. We were visiting family in the area over the holidays and this was a most convenient location. The location does require the use of a car. The property was just as perfect as pictured and described. Very comfortable property (well appointed we’d other cooking equipment). Hot tub was great. Very safe snd frienfy neighborhood. Unit management was excellent.

Perfect getaway!

This place was a perfect spot to hang with beaches not too far away. We had business in LA but we aren't city people, so the drive was worth it to have this adorable bungalow to escape to. Definitely would recommend!

Perfect Place

The B-Hive is perfect in every way. Every little detail from fully stock kitchen to cozy bedrooms you feel right a home. What a wonderful surprise when we arrived at the B-Hive. It was decorated inside and outside for Christmas which I loved and so did our granddaughter! We loved the outdoor area too. The location was perfect for us, as it was walking distance to grandchildren. Thank you Nancy for letting us stay at your beautiful home. We can’t wait for our next visit to the B-Hive.

If you stay with a dog, make sure you have a thick leash for ALL the neighbors to see.

The house was super cute- the pictures reflect accurately on what you’re renting! I was in town for a much needed surgery. My 70 yo father, his 14 yo lab and 5 yo English bulldog came along to help. Prior to renting I confirmed that 2 dogs were OK & provided their breeds. All was OK w/ Nancy. When we returned after surgery, I had a text from Nancy re. aggressive dogs. I called her immediately even tho I was quite foggy from the 3.5 hour surgery. My best recollection is her telling me that my 2 pit bulls tried to attack/bite a neighbor, her house is her only asset and she should have us leave. I was mortified. After listening to her, and not knowing what actually took place, I assured her that ‘this’ had not happened before, nor would it happen ‘again’. I sent her pics of the dogs to show they weren’t pit bulls. We stayed the night. I totally understand being upset but the fact that she was emotional & accusatory w.o. asking any questions really bothered & upset me. Apparently there were 2 instances w/our dog barking at people walking. Both times the dog was on leash. Both times this information was provided by a neighbor. Both times my father’s memories are far different and a lot less dramatic. The dogs were on leash. Whether they were leashed to the handrail post while he scooped poop or being held by my father, they were on leash. Granted, long leashes but still- on leash. Due to limited space for writing reviews, I’ll fast forward to the next day after we left. That night, I received a text from Nancy admonishing me for “letting your dogs off leash again this morning and the bulldog chased a lady down the street as she screamed”, “unbelievable” and “very disrespectful”. Again, she never asked anything. She chose to scold me instead. I asked her to please not text me anymore. She then emails me via VRBO. Same verbiage & that she’s going to “write a poor review of my stay”. I did not respond. The next day, yet ANOTHER email from her on VRBO. Again, the same accusatory language but more of it. I did not respond. Not once during her phone call, in her text, or her MULTIPLE emails did she ask any questions. Had she bothered to ask me our side or more importantly, if she had handled herself in a more dignified and professional manner, I would’ve been more inclined to respond. Everything Nancy said came ‘from her neighbor’ which makes it sound like the house is under constant observation- would I want to rent such a place? Probably not.

Perfect and relaxing
