Located in the desirable El Zalate complex. You may never want to leave the beautiful terrace overlooking the pool oasis area and beach while listening to the beautiful surf on the Sea of Cortez. You can stay at a resort for 4 times as much and it won't compare to this amazing condo! I love to cook and the kitchen is well equipped for any gourmet chef if you choose to stay in for meals. This area has over 100 restaurants within a 5 mile radius featuring some of the most renowned chefs from all over the World. Our optional concierge service can assist with your arrival if you choose not to rent a car or meet and greet you at the property if you have your own transportation (it's very easy to drive here). Our service can assist you with booking any reservation or activity from snorkeling, whale watching, ATV's, zip lining to a pedicure and massage on the balcony with the ocean breeze. Condo is equipped with satellite TV and Wifi. The unit is located Beachfront. Some map programs do not show this accurately. I do book up very far in advance and my calendar is always up to date. Condo was completely remodeled in 2022.

Hesitant to share how great this place is for fear of future challenges booking...
We really loved this condo for our week long stay. It is beautifully decorated and has a huge porch equipped with a large, clean grill. I spent a lot of time each morning reading on the porch and looking for whales. The place is really clean with lovely, cool stone floors. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking tools, but we ate out most nights. Our friends in another unit rented a car and gave us a ride to the grocery store. Technically, you could walk to the grocery but it would be a quick Uber ride too. We loved walking through San Jose but spent most of our days at the pool relaxing.

Beautiful Beach Property
Close to the beach, the sound of the waves was wonderful to fall asleep to. The pool setting extraordinary. Although the beach is not safe for swimming due to 3 different currents, the surfing beach is a short hike away and access to snorkeling and other beach areas are close by. The unit itself is very well appointed with everything you may need either for cooking inside or on the patio grill, also not to be forgotten, beach chairs to sit and watch the magnificent waves and a floaty to use in the pool. Carrie's list of restaurants, fun things to do in town and how to get there were very knowledgeable and helpful. We took it all to heart and used her notes as our tour guide. The staff at the property were kind and very helpful from calling a cab for us or with useful tips about the area. Loved being here!

An amazing oasis by the sea
This property was as listed, the location was great and super quiet, the property manager Kathy is outstanding and went over and above when issues arose.The apartment is well decorated, Kitchen was VERY well equipped and even had a blender which was awesome! Even though we had a few operational challenges on arrival both Carrie and Kathy the property manager were fast with communication and resolutions to make our stay comfortable. The beds are AMAZING & so comfortable. The apartment is centrally located and not far from town. Traveling solo i felt very safe and at home in the apartment, so much so that i tried to book it again but it was so popular it was booked out for the next 6 months ! Highly recommend this apartment for your San Jose stay.

Fantastic Location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carrie's unit. The kitchen was fully stocked which made our meal planning so easy. Beds were very comfortable. The views from the deck were great for whale watching. The grocery store was a 12 minute walk up the street. We took a cab to town and cost $200 pesos, coming back was slightly cheaper. Carrie gave us the name of a transportation company for our airport pickup which was helpful. Complex is very quiet, no load music. Lots of return people. Would highly recommend this location.

Love San Jose del Cabo and El Zalate
This was our 5th trip to the area and we returned to El Zalate for many reasons. The location is perfect. The property is beachfront on a beautiful, quiet beach. The grounds are well maintained, and there is really good security on the premises. The layout of the condo is perfect. Two nice sized bedrooms and two full baths. Carrie’s place is well equipped with everything you might need during your stay. The furniture is comfortable. The internet and televisions are excellent. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to the area if it’s available. The property manager handled a couple of minor issues promptly. The two biggest issues for us were with regards to the elevator, which was out of service during our entire stay and a hot water problem. The elevator problem was not the fault of the owner. As a matter of fact, she wasn’t aware of the problem. Something happened to it during a hurricane a few weeks before and they were still waiting for the part to arrive. The condo is only on the second floor, but if you have mobility issues, it’s a problem. Turns out that the water control in the shower in the primary bath was backwards, so you had to turn it to cold to get hot water. Once we figured that out, the issue was resolved. There are lots of really great restaurants nearby. We didn’t rent a car this time and we had good luck with Ubers. They were much cheaper than taxis. There is a place called El Wine Shop within walking distance that had great breakfast baked goods, coffee and a nice selection of wine. Agave, Acre and Manta at the Cape Hotel were our favorite restaurants.

75th Birthday
The property itself and its location were very nice. We did not know that the property was being renovated and as a result was very dusty. The stove in the kitchen was not secured and the oven door could not be opened as it would tip the entire stove. I would highly suggest after the renovation is completed that all of the A/C ducts and vents be cleaned and changed. The hot water heater went out while on our stay and took one and half days to be completed. Then a pipe broke and flooded the entire unit under us on the first floor with an inch of water. We know that things like this will happen and the management was nice about the whole thing. For those that rent this property in the future, I would recommend to just make sure that the renovations have been completed and all the materials have been removed from the closets and the balcony. Also, the elevators are not working but the second floor really doesn’t require an elevator unless you are handicapped or have lots of luggage. When completed the unit will be very nice and the views are great!

Never disappoints
My husband and I recently stayed at this property, we have stayed at a few different ones at El Zalate and this was definitely one of my favorites. The condo itself is beautiful and is in a great location in the complex. We personally love the second floor, just high enough not too far when you are at the pool. The beds in this condo are VERY comfortable….and the views from both bedrooms excellent. We really appreciated the beach umbrellas & mini cooler to take to the beach. The property is beautiful and quit empty this time of year (low season) We were visiting our friends that live down here and they loved the complex too. Security is there 24/7, never any reason to feel unsafe. Our favorite local restaurant Sardina Cantina a short walking distance away was awesome as always and we also tried The Fabric a sushi restaurant (within walking distance too) really good. Our host was very gracious and responsive…. We were sad to leave and cannot wait to visit again!
