The location of the hotel was great, right on Whiskey Row. Parking was convenient and relatively cheap ($23.00) compared to the other downtown hotels. The room was clean, contemporary and user friendly. The bed was super comfortable. One of the reasons we chose the Cambria was because of the Magnum Moon Hayloft Bar and Grill. We were expecting a bar and restaurant, but the "restaurant" was actually part of the lobby. Additionally, the menu posted on the website was not the menu that was offered. The offered menu was very small and missing several items (including dessert) as well as the Seared Flat Iron Steak, which is specifically what my husband was interested in. The bartender was great and did give us a map of downtown Louisville so that we could find a different restaurant. We ended up walking down to Doc Crows, which was excellent. The bathroom in our room was very accommodating and had colored towels, which is not typical. However, checkout time was 11:00 am and housekeeping knocked on our door twice, once at 9:30 am and once at 10:30 am, neither of which we were expecting on a Sunday morning. We did not eat breakfast at Jackdaw. Wild Eggs is right across the street, so if you eat there, stay parked in the Cambria garage; otherwise, you will need to pay to park in the lot next to Wild Eggs. Other than being disappointed in the Magnum Moon and being woken up by housekeeping, the Cambria was super nice and we would stay there again.

Our day was very nice. Our room was nice except for some hair in the bathtub. The windows were beautiful unfortunately I did not request the room correctly and did not get the view of the bridge, but I got the view of the city staff was very nice. The lobby was very cozy. The pool was the right temperature. It was amazing with wonderful hours. The food was extremely pricey and we had ate that we ate there three times. We ate lunch dinner and breakfast there and stopped for a coffee one other time the dessert that we got looked nothing like it did in the picture but overall it was very nice. We’ll stay there again.

Rome, the room was excellent, we had a great time. The staff was wonderful. The lady at the bar down in the restaurant was great. Just be aware there’s a $22 a day cost for parking on side of the hotel

We got assigned the incorrect room, had random strangers banging our room door after midnight, woke up our kids. The hotel tried to make it right but that experience alone was enough to not want to ever go back.

When we first arrived to our room it was unbearably cold with the thermostat set at 65. We set it to 78 in the hopes of warming it up. However after about 30 min the room temp only moved up one notch to 66. We then called front desk to see what could be done. They immediately offered us another room. Very accommodating on their part. The new room was already set at 75 which was a plus in our book. (Mind you that we didn’t check in until around 11pm that night and it was already cold outside). The room was very clean all around. The only complaint I have is the parking. The parking area for the hotel is very small. I’m guessing you could get 15-20 cars in there at best. Your only other parking options are meters on the street (which we did) or a paved lot on the corner (we witnessed a guy very upset that his vehicle had been broken into. His back window completely smashed out.) So other than the parking, the hotel and its staff were nice. -D. Manning
