Im afraid its not a good review. My view was of a fence 4ft away and some bad condition cable haging off a wall??? Needed to ask for toilet roll (quickly resolved) Asked the waiter for some salad dressing for my Meal, he told me chef has put some on and didnt get any. Breakfast had re cooked bacon, re cooked single tiny suasage the rest was fine. I've never understood skimping on the last meal a hotel gives its guest. Charge another £1.00 and feed us properly. The place had a nice calm atmosphere and is in a quite area. Comfetable bed and a well apointed room with plenty of tea-coffe etc.

This was a last minute impromptu trip and I am really glad we chose this place. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was good and reasonably priced and the room was lovely. It's near the seaside and also historical towns so there is lots to see and do within a short drive. We will definitely be going again.

Lovely place to stay. Beautifully decorated. Amazing breakfast - freshly prepared and local produce. The only downside is the thin walls between rooms - you could easily hear every word spoken by the joining room.

Great for Families

Great place for families to stay after a day in Southwold. We stayed in one of the family rooms which was the best hotel room we have stayed in with our two children - plenty of space and we didn't feel on top of each other at all. Brilliant breakfast the next day, great choice and lovely FOH lady, who really looked after us and was kind to the children. She arranged for the some cooked items for my toddler then the chef came and asked what crockery would be best for him - we had our own plate which she kindly took and used. Overall brilliant service. We will be back again.

We stayed here for a mini break. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and especially the two ladies who served us. Great sense of humour and nothing too much trouble. Room was spotless and bed very comfortable. The location is great with the transport museum next door and Southwold, Snape and Aldeburgh a short drive away. We would definitely recommend to friends and family and also return if we visit Suffolk again.
