We had a wonderful time at the Waldstaetterhof. The staff was helpful and friendly. It is well located, close to Grindelwald First and Grindelwald Bahnof. We stayed for four nights and went all over the Jungfrau region. We would stay again.

The hotel is in a great location but that’s pretty much the only thing about it. Stayed there for 3 nights, i would 100% not return. The rooms are extremely small, there’s not even one shelf to put your clothes on, had to keep everything in my luggage. Shower was ridiculously tiny, i kept hitting my elbows on the shower wall while washing my hair but the biggest problem was the lack of AC. Which was my fault for not paying attention and booking a hotel without AC. There was an old fan in the room that did nothing other than giving me a headache, hotel manager told us to just keep the window open. It was very hot outside so that didn’t help not to mention it was extremely noisy since it was facing main street. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!

Perfect stay. Location is right next to railway station. Walkable to all historic places in Lucern. Wonderful people. Extremely clean. What a Swiss hotel should be.

No air conditioning. Terrible shower.

Advertised air conditioning but didn’t have it. We were provided with an oscillating fan instead. Had to open windows while fireworks exploded outside due to National Day celebrations. Shower was terrible…named her Sybil…went from scalding hot, to freezing cold on a whim! Could never find a good temperature to shower. Husband refused to shower until next hotel…3 days later! Will stay somewhere else next time. Hotel was clean and breakfast was pretty good. But will find someplace else next trip.
