Tri-level home built in 1991 with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Hamlin Lake access off a short dock in shallow Indian Pete’s Bayou (short-walk across Shagway Drive), WIFI, Internet television, Heat/Central AC. Wooded lot, fire-pit, circle driveway off private road. Large family room.

Main floor: furnished kitchen, dining area, lounge with walk-out to deck, laundry/mudroom, utility sink, and walk-out to slab-patio, bedroom has King-sized bed, bathroom has walk-in shower.

Upstairs: bedroom has King-sized bed, The “Bunkhouse” bedroom stocked with a full-sized bed & 1 single bed, bathroom has tub/shower.

Lower level: bedroom has King-sized bed, family room with internet TV, bathroom has tub/shower, and walk-out to yard. Games, books, and dart board (steel tip).

What can you expect for outside furniture? Fire pit, picnic table, gas grill, hammock, 8+ outdoor chairs.

Outdoor items available for use: croquet, badminton, can-jam, canoe with paddles, SUP board with paddle, and life vests. Guests are responsible for setting up items, transporting water toys to and from Lake Hamlin, and having fun! Dock is short and water very Shallow. Not suitable for any boats. It is a nice walk to the end of the dock to check the lake and do some fishing off the dock.

This property has easy check-in access. No parties, receptions or large gatherings permitted.

Sibling reunion

This was a senior sibling get together from 4 different states! We were all born in either ludington or Muskegon MI. We came here from Florida, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin! This house was so perfect for us. The kitchen was extremely well furnished. There was plenty of room to relax and a very large table for our game nights! All in all we agreed it was the BEST VRBO any of us had ever stayed in. The host couple was great at responding to any questions we had!

Hamlin Getaway

We had a great time staying at Hamlin Lake. It is close to fun things to do. We tend to be beach bums and we liked both the state park beach and Stearns Park beach. This cabin is not lakeside, but it is quiet and secluded. The house was very clean and we all had plenty of room (9 of us) when hanging out for the day or evening. We needed more linens, specifically bath towels and wash cloths, as well as kitchen towels, so we had to do laundry daily. We eat in a lot on vacation and there were no convenience items such as non-stick spray or salt and pepper, so you need to bring things with you if you plan to cook. There are not a lot of dishes either so you will be handwashing or running the dishwasher all the time. The only real down-side was not having enough outdoor seating around the fire pit or a patio table and chairs, so we didn't spend a lot of time outdoors like we usually do. All in all it was a very pleasant stay.

Great Weekend Away

Excellent communication and directions from owner both pre-trip and via clear instructions onsite; layout worked well for us as we have teen and adult kids so everyone had plenty of space for the different hours they kept; well stocked kitchen and plenty of dishes for cooking; great sized dining room table for eating in and playing family games; extra wall AC units kept the bedroom temperatures cool on the second floor; would definitely consider staying here again if we are in the area

Perfect “Up North” Cabin

The house is set up perfectly including four bedrooms and three full bathrooms. Accommodations included everything we needed, including kitchenware, games, and grill. The property is private and in a quiet neighborhood. It has enough room for the kids to play outside, including a fire pit for s’mores. It was a quick and easy drive to downtown Ludington.

Perfect family vacation spot!!

This property was perfect! It was clean, cute, and had a well stocked kitchen with everything we needed. We had 5 adults and 5 kids, ranging in ages from 3-9, and we were all very comfortable. We loved that there were bedrooms on the main, upper, and lower floors so everyone had space and bathrooms. The three king beds were fantastic so adults were comfortable and the kids loved sharing the room. Soft sheets, ample towels and beach towels, and convenient laundry right by the entrance! The outdoor space was wonderful
 fun to have a bonfire and also plenty of space for the kids to run around. The location was great - close enough to the state park, the beach, and downtown, but quiet, lovely spot away from city noise. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Pictures don't do it justice

This property is beautiful. Hard to get an idea of the layout from pics. It is perfect! Large (essentially master) upstairs with bunk room across hall. Another master in main floor and a third in the base area. Along with a full den set up! All furniture was good quality and very comfy. Beds were VERY comfy. Kitchen is beautiful! There were basic needs - dishes, pans, toaster, coffee maker, etc - plus paper items like baggies, foil, and such. This is a no brainer! Perfect place for our needs and surely for yours too! Thank you for such a wonderful accommodation

Peaceful cabin in the woods

My family chose to rent this house because it looked spacious and private. It was both! The layout gave everyone his/her own space and bathroom, and the wooded area and private drive added to the cozy feel. The kitchen had everything you’d need for a home away from home. Between morning coffee on the wraparound deck and evenings around the fire pit, we couldn’t have had a better stay. Thank you so much! We hope to return.
