The property was located in a great location. The dryer didn’t work and the tea kettle didn’t work well. The items I mentioned are the only reason we didn’t give them 5 stars. They had stores and restaurants short waking distance away. We would stay again

The apartment was in a great residential area. Newly renovated and very comfortable. We had a little trouble at check in which was quickly rectified. Things happen so no big deal. Also the washer was not working when we were there and we contacted the rental agency but did not stay long enough to get it fixed. Great trip to Madrid and great place for our family

Keys barely work, bad communication

The place looks exactly as pictured and for our group we fit perfectly. The biggest issue was the keys to the building and overall communication with the host. The key for the building was extremely difficult to use. We literally could not get in and had to wait for another tenant in the building to come out before we could enter. The host sent someone to show us how to open the door and they were barely able to get the door open. We ended up spending a ton of time trying to get in/out of the building and it didn’t work easy. It was extremely hard to get open which was a big inconvenience everyday. We asked the host far in advance about dropping our luggage prior to check in which they agreed to but then they changed the drop off time on us 1 day before our trip. when messaging our host throughout the trip, they were very slow to respond and sometimes not responsive at all. The floors were not very clean. The washing machine touchscreen did not work so we couldn’t use it which was a big disappointment, the host didn’t respond to our message at all about this. The location was great and central to the city and close by 2 metro stations, which made exploring the city very easy. Overall i would not stay again just due to the key issue alone.

Not very clean

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. From the ckeck-in process, which was disastrous, to the lack of cleanliness of the apartment, to the poor communication with the host, we had a very negative experience.

European family vacation

We stayed at several places throughout Italy and Spain, but Kivoya was by far our favorite. It was the most comfortable as far as beds and pillows go, having a choice of thick or thinner pillows, comfortable mattress, double sink in the master, washer and dryer, hard to find a dryer, and awesome kitchen. The apartment was just a couple blocks from great shopping and restaurants and public transportation. Perfect. The lock on the front door was a little tricky until you figured out the trick, but other than that, it was a perfect stay.

Communication

The contact name and phone number on the instructions was incorrect. The local person would not pick up the phone. It was not a pleasant check in process. We didn’t have electricity the next day but there was no one there to help. We had to look for the control panel to start the electricity on our own.

Great spot for the family

Easy to locate apartment that was in convenient location and close to city center for our family of five with also an infant. Crib was set up upon arrival which was appreciated. Apartment had everything we needed as a family that was on the move. Beds and furniture all very comfy after tons of walking. Updated bathrooms were beautiful.

Loved this apartment!

Karolina met us at the apartment & showed us how everything worked. We still found a few things to ask about later (like how to turn on the shower) & Karolina quickly responded to our texts. The beds were super comfortable, the tvs in each room were a nice extra luxury (especially for my 84 year old aunt who spent the most time resting in the apartment) & the location was an easy walk to the gran via & the mercado. My favorite combination is an old, beautiful building with a renovated apartment & I loved this place! The elevator is tiny so we had to make several trips with our luggage & my aunt’s walker, but it worked, all that mattered. We have gotten a little impatient with the uncertainty of using VRBO places but we will happily stay again at Karolina’s place next time we are in Madrid.

Great fun neighborhood

Loved the place in Madrid. The apartment was beautiful. We could walk to all the local places. We also loved the big screen TV for the Real Madrid football match!
