Property listed on Expedia shows a 4 star hotel. The actually room we were given was worse than 1 star. There was water leakage on the walls, stains or drapes, room was very dingy, lights didn't work, bath tub didn't drain properly. The website listing is very misleading.

We loved our stay at Smartr Madrid Chueca. The location was easy to find and central/walkable to everything we wanted to see. The area is very lively in the afternoon and quiet, but not unsafe late at night. The staff was kind and quick to respond to any questions via WhatsApp. The place was clean and comfortable. The place was clean, however there was no lounge seating in the living and dining area. The dining table was a high table with high chairs, so there wasn’t a comfortable place to sit and relax. It was also very noisy due to the busy location, and the apartment did not have proper soundproofing to block out the noise
