Large 3 story 5,019 square feet home complete with 4 Bedrooms/ 4.5 Bath Log Home, Excellent Mountain Views (4100 ft. elevation). Driveway is easy to navigate, and house is located minutes from the back gate of the Smoky Mountain Retreat, 10 minutes from golf and dining at Laurel Ridge Country Club. Back gate also affords a quick route to shops, restaurants and downtown Waynesville.

Gas & Electric Fireplaces, Comfortable Bedding, upgraded High Speed Wireless Internet, Movie Theatre Downstairs with 120 inch screen. 8-foot Brunswick Professional Pool Table, Karaoke, Spacious Decks (1 Covered) with Gas Grill, Central Heat and Air.

Convenient to the Cataloochee Ski Area, located high in the mountains of Western North Carolina is the home of Great Skiing in the Great Smokies!

2nd Floor: (upstairs) Large Loft Area with Queen size Futon, Desk, Flat Screen TV, 2nd Bedroom with Queen size bed, Large Walk-in Closet, & Attached Full Bath (shower/tub combo), 3rd Bedroom with King Size Bed & Attached Full Bath (shower/tub combo).

3rd Floor: (downstairs) Lower level has been remolded in February 2022.
Open Floor Plan with Recreation Room with a pool table, ping-pong table, Movie Theatre now in separate enclosed room seating for 7, families can use Pullout Queen Sofa, Board Games, Full Bath with Large Tile Standup Shower, 4th bedroom Pullout Queen Sofa & Electric Fireplace. In the ping-pong room there are 2 bunkbeds, where it would comfortably sleep 4 kids!

January- May, Nov, Dec (Excludes Holidays): 3 nights minimum.
$400 Nightly, $2,500 Weekly

June- October: 3 nights minimum
$500 Nightly, $3,200 Weekly

Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years: 6 nights minimum

The house is beautiful and was perfect for our annual trip... actually we liked it so much we came back for a second year! It was very clean! We loved everything from the view to the movie room and game room! Our last night was spent by the fire pit! It was a fantastic trip!

Great view in a spacious cabin

The cabin was amazing. It had a great view and was very spacious. The movie theater was a huge hit with the kids along with the fire pit.

Cousin Trip

This was our annual cousin trip we started 7 years ago. We grew up close and wanted our children to do the same. Everything was perfect. We had 14 people that was supposed to go but 2 were sick and couldn't make it. There was plenty of room for everyone! Absolutely breathtaking view!

For those of you from Florida and other humid and hot climates, it is a great escape from the heat because the mornings were very n the upper 50's, low 60's, and afternoon highs in the upper 70's.

It’s 2 families with kids ranging from 16-8 and everyone had something to do. On top of all the games the place already had we brought games and puzzles to play as well. They even had a separate table for us to build our puzzles on! The big kids loved climbing the “big” mountain while the little kids loved climbing the “mountain” next to the driveway. It’s a great vacation to be able spend time with your older kids because you don’t need to leave the house. We hope to be back next year and future years to come to continue to make memories with our kids.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family of eight really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is very spacious and the location was gorgeous. No other cabins are right on top of you so you feel secluded with plenty of privacy though neighbors were not too far. The road to the cabin is steep in areas but all were paved and I found it easy to maneuver. The cabin really has everything you need- just bring your own blankets due to Covid. It was very clean but could use a couple of updates/ maintenance though. The legs were loose on several chairs but we tightened them- there was even basic tools available. We also had to tighten towel bars in the bathrooms. There’s a small sitting area/ fire pit at the bottom of the yard but we did not use it since the access to it is poor. Even the young ones had trouble getting down there. Despite these minor issues we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We even stayed in a couple of days just to enjoy the cabin. In fact we didn’t want to leave! We would definitely stay here again.

We ran into a couple of issues and property management was great-super responsive. The only criticism I have is the beds could use new sheets. The sheets and comforters were a bit old and musty. Also, if you like good coffee, bring your own coffee maker. Although the coffee maker is new the coffee comes out muddy. Overall, we would definitely stay again and recommend this house to anyone!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fabulous 4 months in Dancing Wolfs Lodge this summer and would highly recommend Smoky Mountain Retreat.

Family Getaway

Our family met at this cabin for a much needed getaway. It is a beautiful cabin with everything you could possibly need or want. We had a wonderful week and plan to come back for our next family trip.
