The boat belonging to the house is moored in a natural harbour on the Solgen. The lake, which is very popular with anglers, is just under an hour's drive away.

Take a trip to Nässjö or visit Småland's glassworks and craft workshops. The Astrid Lindgren Museum in Vimmerby is also well worth a day trip.
