Summary:

Welcome to your Mammoth Lakes home base! This 2BR/2BA condominium sleeps up to 6 and puts you close to town conveniences with easy shuttle access to Eagle Lodge and The Village.



The Space:

Settle into a comfortable, family-friendly condo designed for relaxing between mountain adventures. The living room features a wood-burning fireplace (with wood provided), a TV, and a sofa that converts to a sleeper for two. A handy mudroom area by the entrance lets you hang coats and gear after a day outside, and the deck offers fresh air and neighborhood views.

The full kitchen is stocked with the basics for simple meals and snacks, including a drip coffee maker, toaster, slow cooker, blender, and pots and pans. Enjoy casual breakfasts before hitting the slopes or trails.



As part of the Horizons 4 community, you’ll have year-round access to the hot tub, sauna, recreation room, and laundry facilities. In summer, the pool, tennis court, picnic area, and BBQ stations open for warm-weather fun (amenities managed by the HOA; availability may vary). Unassigned parking for two vehicles is available in the lot on a first-come, first-served basis, with parking passes found inside the unit.

‱ Parking: Unassigned parking for two vehicles is available in the community lot on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking passes are required and will be inside the unit.

‱ Stairs: Stairs are required to access this home.

‱ Wi-Fi: WiFi is provided; however, due to our rural mountain location and areawide infrastructure, speed and reliability can vary and are not guaranteed.

‱ Communal amenities: The hot tub, sauna, rec room, and laundry facilities are available year-round. The pool, tennis court, picnic area, and BBQ stations are summer-season only. All communal amenities are managed by the HOA and availability may vary.

‱ Shuttle: A nearby Green Line shuttle stop provides access to Eagle Lodge and The Village (seasonal routes and schedules may vary).

‱ Pet policy: No pets are allowed per HOA rules.

‱ Check in is at 4:00 PM and checkout is at 10:00 AM. We cannot guarantee or approve early check in or late checkout requests in advance.

‱ We recommend considering travel insurance, just in case any unexpected changes come up. We do stick to our cancellation policy and want to make sure you're covered!

‱ We provide bedding, towels and a small starter set of essentials to help get you settled. Feel free to message us for details on what’s included.

The place is cute but it’s very old. The couches are filthy and need to be replaced. You could the dirt stuck on the couch. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were 30 years old. We put blankets on them because we were disgusted to sit on them directly. Additionally, the mattresses are extremely uncomfortable and should be replaced as well. If those things were replaced, I would’ve given it a better rating.

The entire condo is dated, but that’s to be expected at the low price point. There are some things that could be done to help first. Some nonstick pans would be helpful. There’s just a mishmash of old kitchen wear. Also the light switch in the master bathroom was broken finally, we did have an issue when we first got there with the codes that were sent to open the door. They were incorrect and we spent almost an hour trying to get the right codes from the management company that needs to be resolved in the future

Mice (ate our food in pantry; we reported to Grand Welcome who gave us electronic pest deterrents, which did not solve the problem). The outlets horrendous (literally had to hold plug the only outlet in the kitchen to run an appliance). Bathroom light didn’t work and still didn’t work after Grand Welcome fixed it. The sliding door unusable, inaccurate information regarding the hvac system given to us by Grand Welcome in advance of renting property. Also, almost all the dishes and mugs were chipped and screws to dishwasher toe plate were missing.

Worst VRBO experience ever

I thought I’d share our experience because it’s been the worst VRBO we’ve ever stayed at. From the management to the property itself, it was a complete disaster.The unit was completely unprepared. There was only one trash bag, no dishwasher pods, no cleaner to wipe counters, and only three rolls of toilet paper for two bathrooms. And to top it off, there was only a half-roll of paper towels.The yard crew was even worse. While blowing dirt and leaves off the parking spots, they blew onto cars and then used the blower to clean them, which scratched our car.To make matters worse, we arrived at the condo not cleaned and then a second condo that wasn’t cleaned either. With poor direction to get into the third unit, which required management to come out (2 hours from arrival to finally get into a cleaned unit, only to have to switch back to the original the next day.)A refund of 100 is not acceptable for the trouble and issues we’ve faced.We reserve condos in Mammoth several times throughout the year, as well as for friends and team members. We’ve never experienced anything like this before. It’s clear that this complex is old and not well-maintained, and the management seems inexperienced with inadequate staff.

Lacking essentials

I’ll give the good first: nice new carpet, Good location, nice beds and good hot water. The layout is pretty good also. Although the kitchen is decent size, the cooking utensils are abysmal. No sharp knives (not unusual) so bring your own. No cookie sheet, no salad bowl, no wine glasses, only a few glasses that are glass. Nothing has been updated except what noted above.

Great stay and easy unit. The queen bed bunkbed was great for my two teenage sons. Unit being on ground floor is nice for heat not fluctuating. will come back..
