Hotel and breakfast were really good, used the early check in which was seamless. Staff were helpful and really impressive.

During our stay at ibis Manchester Centre Princess Street, we experienced a serious breach of privacy. Approximately 45 minutes before checkout, a member of housekeeping used a key card to unlock and open our room door without knocking or announcing themselves, despite the room still being occupied and no housekeeping having been requested. Both occupants were inside the room and undressed at the time, leaving us fully exposed when the door was opened. This was extremely distressing and humiliating. We reported the incident immediately to reception and later escalated it to the Hotel’s GM, Frederic via email on 25/12/25. At the time of writing, we have received no response. This was not a minor inconvenience but a clear failure of basic guest privacy and safety standards. Based on this experience, we cannot recommend this hotel.

Staff is very helpful & pleasant. Located close to center of city but not a fabulous area. Room was cold and thermostat did not seem to work. Very clean but paint is not that fresh and the carpets are a bit stained. Very readonably priced and all considered very good value for money.

The location was good, very central and easy to get around. The night staff was friendly and help but the morning staff was rude and unfriendly. Also the bathroom was dirty with hair over the shower on the walls and even on the ceiling of the shower.
