Nice apartment but with no holiday atmosphere
We arrived about 2pm to be told check in was at 4pm. Which was completely acceptable. We finally got into our apartment at 5.15pm, after having been up since 3.30 am for an early flight , this wasn't a good start . We weren't given enough towels for five of us , and there were only four beds, despite our booking being made for 2 adults and three children. On enquiring about this , I was told there was a 10 Euro surcharge per night for a fold away bed , which would have cost us another 120 Euro's. Fortunately for us they waivered this charge for the hassle caused by our late check in.
The complex itself is pleasant , set in nice gardens with three pools. For us it completely lacked any holiday atmosphere . The children were not allowed any balls / lilos in the pool. No music is allowed either. The life guard would pull you up if you were doing any if these things . Plenty of sun beds about but no parasols for shade. Plenty of trees for shade if you don't mind the smell of cat poo surrounding you .
The location of the complex is about 20-25 mins from beach and marina . A very steep hill on way back from beach , which in 35 degree heat is quite hard going. Also you have to walk a very busy road with no way of avoiding it. Not ideal with kids. As we were driving home, we received a call from reception to say we had took our keys with us , which we hadn't !!!! and they were deducting 80 euros from our deposit . Two phone calls to them to rectify .
