This handsome villa near the town of Monte San Savino has recently been renovated into a perfect rural hideaway for up to 12 guests. The number of double rooms means it’s particularly suited to a group of couples, who wish to enjoy the glorious Tuscan countryside and to explore the historic towns that are within easy reach. Arezzo and Cortona in particular should not be missed. A lovely, bright property, with French doors in every ground-floor room, Boschi Salviati retains features such as beamed ceilings, terracotta floors and an original oven and fireplace. Meanwhile the pretty, bright kitchen combines traditional and contemporary style.
Other modern flourishes which enhance the décor include murals in the bedrooms and bathrooms, some of which also feature zingy-coloured tiles. There’s lots of space to relax in too, with three lounges offering plenty of comfy seating, as well as a bar area on the first floor. The expansive, lawned gardens offer 360-degree views of the vines and the hills beyond. But where’s the best place to take these in? From the cool water of your large private pool, or an armchair under one of the two covered pergolas, perhaps from the shaded Jacuzzi, or a lounger by the poolside… You decide.
The double bedroom on the ground floor has an en-suite that is suitable for people with limited mobility. There is an open-tread staircase from the dining room to the first floor. Complimentary wine tasting and a visit to the owner's winery are included in the weekly price.
