There's a natural flow to the space that just works. Big social areas for meals, drinks and long conversations, balanced with enough room to spread out when you need a bit of quiet. Even with a full house, it feels relaxed rather than busy.
With eight bedrooms across the main house and a self-contained annexe, the layout gives you flexibility. Couples, singles, and families can all find a setup that suits them, without it feeling like anyone's compromising. Some can be right in the heart of things, while others have a bit more separation—ideal for different routines, early nights or slower mornings.

The house is set up for real group living. A large dining space where everyone can sit together, two fully equipped kitchens that can handle anything from a simple breakfast to a full group meal, and multiple living areas so everything doesn't happen in one place.
Outside, there's two private, secure gardens and a generous patio; perfect for a slow morning coffee, an afternoon in the sun, or a relaxed evening with food and drinks. It's an easy extension of the house, especially after a day at the beach.

And the location keeps everything simple. Eclectic Northdown Road is on the doorstep. The sandy shore, rock pools and lido are just a short, step free walk away, so you can come and go as you please. Head one way for quieter coastal walks and open space, or the other for Margate Old Town—cafés, restaurants, galleries and a bit more energy when you want it.

Spilt over the first and second floors, five bedrooms await you to fall into a deep slumber after a fun-filled day together, with two of the bedrooms commanding views over the rooftops to the sea. Mere steps from the main house, through patio doors is a small, decked terrace, leading through a gate to the annexe house.

With a stylish open plan kitchen and living area opening out to its own private garden, the annexe offers fantastic additional living space, complete with three bedrooms. The main garden is ideal for you all to come together, with a dining patio and barbecue and a spacious lawn.

Situated in the Cliffonville area of Margate, Walpole House grandly sits just minutes from the sea, with 300 yards step-free access to the beach and the tidal pool at Walpole Bay. A few minutes' drive or a 15-minute walk will take you into the heart of the buzzing and creative coastal hub of Margate, with independent shops, cafés and restaurants to be explored and sampled, as well as art galleries and music venues. For those arriving by car, on street parking is free of charge outside of the house, whilst if you are jumping on the train, Margate station lies just a 5-minute taxi ride away with high-speed trains taking you into London in less than an hour and a half.
