Newly renovated home! One block from Back of the Dragon-Close to downtown Marion

Location, location, location! This newly-renovated home is the perfect setting for a peaceful getaway to the mountains of Southwest Virginia. Situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, you will have easy access to some of the most popular attractions in Marion, Virginia. We are one block from the famous Back of the Dragon and near the heart of downtown Marion. Hungry Mother State Park is just five minutes away. The Emory & Henry School of Health Sciences is within walking distance. Other nearby attractions include The Lincoln Theater, Appalachian Trail, Virginia Creeper Trail, Grayson Highlands State Park and Bristol Motor Speedway. After a busy day, unwind by sitting on the front porch, which offers a spectacular view of deer grazing, against a backdrop of distant mountains or sit around the firepit in the spacious back yard as you visit with friends and family.
The home includes 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom; Smart TV's; dining room table; central air/heat, washer/dryer, and hardwood floors.
The kitchen is equipped with everything that guests need to prepare meals during their stay, including cookware, microwave, blender, Crockpot, dishes, utensils, toaster and Keurig Coffee station.
The bathroom is stocked with complimentary toiletries and a hair dryer. Plenty of linens, towels and pillows are provided to make sure guests are as comfortable as possible. An ironing board and iron/steamer are provided, as well.
The home has a carport, with an entrance into the kitchen, along with space for two additional vehicles behind the covered parking. There is also a lower driveway, which provides space for parking additional vehicles (3) or a trailer.
The property has an unfinished basement, which is not accessible to guests during their stay.

The Best

My group of 4 adults travel each June via motorcycle to a new destination. This year, we wanted to ride the Back of the Dragon. Margaret's property is perfect for this. It's less than a mile from Rt 16 and is the nicest vrbo I have stayed in to date. This completely renovated house is meticulously furnished and maintained. Everything is new and works perfectly. We grilled on the outdoor propane grill, relaxed on the outdoor furniture and kept our bikes safe and dry under the carport at night and during the one day it rained. The shower is everything the other reviewers have noted and more. This is a truly exceptional property. You won't be disappointed.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We were in town visiting a sick relative and Margaret's home was clean, inviting, and offered some very welcomed comfort during our stay. Perfect Girls Getaway

We’ve stayed in many VRBO properties and my daughter and I agreed this was the best one so far. Thank you Margaret for your hospitality! Absolutely spotless, very well maintained home! Fantastic shower (now I have to buy one for my home because my wife loved it so much) so many utensils/appliances to use in the kitchen was nice! We cooked in the kitchen every day. We will definitely be back!
