I stayed one night right before going into KNP. From start to finish Bernadette made me feel welcome a d was extremely friendly. I did receive a room upgrade and wow! The room was fantastic. Extremely high ceiling and fantastic backyard view. Though once twilight hits there isn't much sunlight so not much view can be seen. There is a restaurant nearby so you do not have to use the kitchens if you don't cook yourself. Also, ifyou would love to make the host happy please ask her about the lounge and use it. It will make her very happy. It is a nice lounge with not of seating and beautiful pictures. Also, saw a majestic looking water buck while driving back from the restaurant and several zebras in the morning on my way out. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone since it is a wonderful place and very close to KNP entrance. The only downside is the roads but that is every lodge near crocodile Bridge so just drive extra slow and careful. If possible rent out a suv, 4x4 or something with high wheels since it will help with off road drives in and around KNP.
Ideal place to get away from city life. Enjoyed the tranquillity so very much. Loved that Bernadette and her staff took care of everything and let us enjoy our stay without any hassle
The lodge is located in Marloth Park, pretty close to Kruger National Park. The room we had was HUGE and beautifully decorated. There is so much eye for detail and you'll find yourself surrounded by loads of cool 'BIG 5/African wildlife' memorabilia. Really nice. The owner is very friendly and helpful. There is a beautiful pool and at night you will certainly hear the lions roar, even though they cannot get close to the lodge (no worries!). Just everything about this place is cool and comfortable: highly recommended.
we originally had difficulties finding the location. we came in late but the host/owner greeted us and went above and beyond for us. the rooms were very clean. the location is a park so it was neat staying in a park with animals around us. we were there one night when no one else was. enjoying sitting and relaxing in the courtyard by the fountain. kitchen had great amenities. provided us with the south african adapter to use during our stay. overall, very pleasant and comfortable stay. near the crocodile bridge entrance to kruger national park. no wifi.

Adventure in Marloth Park
We stayed for two nights during a stop over in the southern parts of the Kruger Park and a visit to Swaziland.
Please note that this lodge is in Marloth Park! Gate entrance to the park is recommended via the Tenbosch Road from the N4.
Only Olifant Drive was a paved road leading to the lodge. All others was unpaved. Our Vw Polo was almost unable to reach the lodge since many roads had been damaged by heavy rainfall recently. I would have liked having a 4x4 vehicle at that time.
Please note that Du Bois Lodge is not a hotel, but a safari lodge with availability to use the shared kitchen for self catering.
A restaurant, bootle shop, post office, bakery, supermarket and gas station was available within 2.5km, on Olifant Drive.
We were blown away by the hospitality extended to us by Bernadette (the owner) and enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the location of the lodge. It was a very special weekend:-)
