Hang up your car keys and relax.
Fishing, swimming, playing in lagoon in front of house.
Warm outside shower.
Kite-flying, Cricket, Touch, Badminton etc on huge front lawn.
2 large decks front and rear for socialising or sunbathing.
Gather Kaimoana at low tide ie paua and crayfish or play in rockpools
2km to local country pub The Whakataki, for dining-in or Takeaways.
Immaculate 9 hole Golf course and Tennis courts along from pub.
Special conditions:
1. Bring ALL of your own linen including towels, sheets, pillowcases, teatowels etc.
2. House must be cleaned on departure. Cleaning equipment provided. Any extra cleaning required will be charged for.
3. Remove all rubbish. (Transfer station on road to Castlepoint.) Rubbish left will result in extra charges.
4. Smoking NOT allowed inside and accepted outside ONLY.
5. Departure no later than 12 noon.
6. Limited water usage as it is Tank water so it is precious. Please be considerate. Extreme overuse of water will result in extra charges.
7. Minimum 2 nights stay all year. Additional minimum stays required on public holiday and long weekends, please enquire.
8. $300 per night most of the year, but additional charges for peak season. Please enquire.
NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to leave the property in the same state as you found it. Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);

Lovely space for a great family week

The bach is perfect for a family to stay and enjoy Castlepoint, the beaches or play around. Heaps of space, excellently equipped and well maintained. Highly recommended!

Excellent spot on the beach for sports with the kids, viewing sunrise and relaxing. Excellent facilities for comfortable sleeping, socialising and cooking. Our 2nd say here. Will return again.

What a beautiful spot. A very well maintained house, has everything a family can ask for. Close to the beach, close to Castle Point. Has enough space even for rainy days. Great porches to view and hear the ocean. Highly recommended!

Spectacular View and Private Location

Magic location, private, great neighbours

Just what we needed, right at the ocean front, apart from the strong breezes, no complaints whatsoever, would highly recommend if you love the sea, hunting and gathering, fishing, swimming. Would do it again!

Nice place to get away even with the wet weather. I liked that it is quite private from your neighbours. Couldn’t get the tv working, no dvds were there, but that just motivated us to do other activities.

The best location ever! Shame about the deal

We came for 10 days- 2 people. The location is spectacular. The facilities need some remediation- very small amount of bach basics-salt, pepper, oil, paper towels, dishwasher liquid, glad wrap and foil. The TV did not work and the BBQ and oven were both very dirty and could not be used. The BBQ did not have any pliers to connect to the gas bottle and when I asked the owner she told me to use matches - there were no matches. I have this feedback to the owner before we left but she has never replied Always told us that the property manager would be in touch but sadly after 10 days we heard nothing The location is outstanding The facilities need some serious attention- once we cleaned the cutlery plates and glasses it was useable

Despite the unreliable weather we had a lovely quiet time. We would definitely stay again. So enjoyable to be away from the hub of Castlepoint. Great space to enjoy- would make the most of the opportunities this property provides next time!

Fantastic views and beach

Excellent property for a break away with stunning views and a white sand beach right in front of the Bach. Very safe for the kids to explore while we could relax on the deck. We were all very sad to pack up and leave this little gem behind. We'll definitely be back.
