Lea Hurst is a fantastic place to stay , Quiet and secluded.
The house is beautifully restored and the room was superb good views over the countryside,, Jen was a superb host and made us feel welcome in her home. Excellent breakfast and the canal path only 5 minutes walk through the garden. Good location for visiting all of the Peak District. Would highly recommend and canât wait to return
This was a fabulous experience to stay at Florence Nightingaleâs summer home. A most beautiful and historic house in its own grounds ( Nightingale Park) and a delightful family home. We were made most welcome and enjoyed our stay very much.

This is definitely a highlight of our mini break. Sitting in lady Nightingale's library for breakfast with a great view of the hill is perfect way of relaxing. Plus learning so much of the history from the host. This is my first time of recommend a accommodation.
We booked last minute, and Iâm so glad we did!
Peter and his wife were fantastic hosts, they couldnât do enough for you! The house was amazing and the rooms were superb! Would definitely book again 5****
Wonderful property at the foot of the Peak District, which has been renovated to a very high standard with original features in abundance. Our host Peter went out of his way to make us feel welcome and shared a lot of interesting stories about this home, which once belonged to the Florence Nightingale family. Beautiful surroundings and a very nice English breakfast in the dining room by the fire. Looking forwards to coming back!
