Not a clean room. Bugs. I couldn’t hardly sleep being nervous about the uneasiness of the dirty room and everything falling apart. Couldn’t even take a shower because of the knobs on the water hardly work and the water barely came out plus I felt like I’d get germs on my feet standing in the shower. Shower wall scratches all over. Didn’t want to touch the toilet. Should have slept in the car. I cleaned the door handles and other things with clean wipes I was so grossed out. Bed was so uncomfortable and old. They could do so much better instead of obviously focusing on the $$ coming in to their hands. If you can and have time to pass this town do so. Only good thing was the staff was nice but it just didn’t matter with the bad experience of stopping and staying there.

Do not stay here ! The photos are not the property. After driving 15 hours and looking for a hotel within an hour of my location this one was the only one available. I paid extra for a Large two bedroom “suite” well I should have just slept in my U-Haul. The plumbing including the toilet did not work. The bedding on all 3 beds was filthy. There was splatter marks on the tvs , mirror and bedding as well as the floor between the main area and the bedroom was unstable and bouncy to where I was terrified I would fall through the floor.

Dirty room, dirty bathroom, missing light fixture, hole in wall, sink drainage was poor, non working WiFi, adjacent door had been kicked in, sheets in one of the two beds were dirty. No blankets on either bed. Only lodging in town. Would not return to this property nor recommend to anyone.

Staying in McDermitt, NV is never glamorous and my family did not expect anything but a clean place to sleep. The room was very run down, with holes in the walls roughly patched and dirty-looking towels in the dingy bathroom. One of the beds had broken springs so the mattress collapsed with any weight on it. But all of that could've been overlooked if not for the incredibly rude greeting we received when checking in... We'd been on the road for 11 hours and it was almost 9pm--we were so tired and just ready to get into our room and rest. When I walked into the Conoco to check in, the man behind the desk acted like he was annoyed I was there. I asked if we could check in and he said, "You'll need to wait for quite some time. I'm just closing this register, wait over there." He pointed at the other register/computer station with no one working at it and proceeded to ignore me. About 15 minutes later I asked, "Can I please check in, we've been travelling for 11 hours and we're all very tired." He laughed and said, "I've been working for 12 hours, so..." and went back to his work at the other register. I ended up waiting another 10 minutes or so and he FINALLY checked me into my dirty, dingy room. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

The room was in terrible condition, bugs, food crumbs and the mattress filthy. We asked for a refund and drove for another 2 hours to find a reasonable room. We had dinner at the casino across the street and when I spoke with the owner she said she heard that a lot!

The man checkingus in was kind, but the room was a complete disaster. The beds were made neatly but when I pulled the covers back, there was mouse poop in the bed. There was exposed wires in the room, and it was just clearly very rundown, not at all like the pictures shown on the website

This is the only spot in the area to stay, you are literally in the middle of nowhere. The Staff is wonderful and everything works. It is old and shows it, but they continue to do what they can to update it as things get busier in the region. There is only so much cleaning you can do on something that is older and not modernized. Given that this put me over an hour closer to where our fieldwork was, that is worth 5 Stars right there. It's old, and shows, it's dusty, because everything here is, again, this is the only place near McDermitt Caldera that gives quick access to it. Really appreciated the Staff and having all my basic needs taken care of.
