Housekeeping was rushed and almost felt like it didn't happen. Also - it's the first time I have to pay $50 to have an early check in when the room is free. Finally: the room is quite small and basic, with little storage and zero place to hang things in the bathroom, not even the towels. Considered for $40/night more I realized we could have stayed at the Hyatt 5star I'd recommend you consider it too.

Absolutely perfect. Could not have been better for my short trip to the area. Service was exceptional. I staggered in after a 23+ hour journey and had my requested early check-in honored which made all the difference. Room was modern, clean, and well-appointed with a comfortable bed and a great view of Melbourne from the balcony. Extremely centrally located with walkability to everything in the CBD + tram lines and the central station for connecting to/from airport. Couldn't have been easier and would absolutely stay again!

It was a nice place, staff were lovely, and great location- but the main gripe with the room was the bathroom. I appreciate the room would be fantastic from a wheelchair-accessible point of view, but the shower water pressure was awful and didn't seem to drain very well (typically overflowed into the drain in the middle of the bathroom). Just using the bathroom sink at the same time made the shower pressure drop.

We were underwhelmed and disappointed with how many good reviews we'd seen and based our booking on. The shower and basin were mouldy (and water pressure low), and the walls in the room were very marked up. Our room wasn't serviced the first day so no consumables were topped up--we requested some milk and towels but only received the towels. On the second day they only left us one towel despite there being two of us so again had to request towels, and clearly did no cleaning as there was still hair in the shower and basin and our dirty mugs were not replaced/cleaned (and there were no facilities for us to wash them in our room). Just overall felt like a lack of attention to detail and excellence. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and the linens were good.

Adequate for short stay

Close to the theatre that we were visiting. Just stayed 1 night. If we had stayed more, we would've liked the hotel to have a bar & restaurant but for the 1 night we managed without. Very comfortable bed and quiet location, with an Italian restaurant next door and a couple of cafes close by. Check in staff were pleasant and efficient.

The staff were lovely and the beds comfortable. The area was a good location and the price point as attractive. Some parts of the room were unclean and there was hair (previous guest I assume) in our mini fridge - luckily we didn’t have any to use this. The area around the shower near the silicone could do with a good clean as well. Otherwise not a bad stay

A standout of the experience here is the super-friendly service. The rooms are not huge but bright and comfortable. Air conditioning is effective without being noisy, there are no bright LEDs to disrupt sleep, and there are powerpoints and USB charging outlets where you need them. Beds are cozy but the mattress in Rm 1405 was sagging pretty badly which made it hard to get comfortable. Apart from that, one thing I would have appreciated is a cutlery set.
