Fantastic location and good heating but lots of improvements needed. The kitchen sink wasn't draining properly, cracks/holes in cement sheeting walls, bath was dirty, only 10 sheets of toilet paper were supplied, lamps were supplied in bedroom with no powerpoints! The stairwell had an awful smell. Linen was clean but Queen bed is two singles pushed together. Insufficient cooking and eating utensils in cupboards and only one bowl for breakfast cereal.

This hotel and building is in need of serious work. I stay in Melbourne CBD (this one is in east melbourne) 5-10 times a year and this is up there with the worst. It's an old building, which is fine, but the place smells very musty. The main bed is actually 2 single bed bases and 2 mattresses pushed together, but the bases sit at different heights, so there is a big ridge in the middle of the bed. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable. The bed is also on wheels and moves too easily. Just laying down on it the whole bed base moves. The bed moved throughout the night and the pillows go down a gap between the wall and bed (no bed head - just wall). There are portable heaters/coolers on the floor, with extension cords running across the ground. The free parking is terrific, especially in inner Melbourne, but there is a homeless person sleeping in the car park, right next to the building and based on their set up, I would guess they are there every night. Noise can be heard from the apartments around and above, and there were a couple of apartments making a lot of noise well past midnight. The kitchen has been remodeled as is the best part of the apartment, although they left the old splashback tiles. This place might be ok if it was a really good value for money option, but it isn't. Whilst its cheaper than a hotel in the CBD, you don't save enough to put up with the standard of this apartment.

The room was unlivable and unsleepable for the family. While the bathroom was clean enough, the living area was dirty. The carpet and kitchen was slightly bit sticky when we walked on the surface,and as a family we felt unsafe because there were multiple windows exposed to the ground floor with no clear security features. For the price, i didn't expect it to be 5 star but we left because we couldn't stay the night. The nicely presented pictures of the hotel online did not match our experience. I sent a message to the hotel management and Expedia but neither responded to me.

Photos on the booking site are definitely not what greets you when you arrive. First room we had was filthy. Went to make a coffee and the cups were used and put back dirty, lip stick included. Utensils were used and put back in the drawer covered in grease and food. Complained to staff and got to choose a different room. Slightly cleaner but still not what is advertised. Staff were understanding and accomodated as best they could. Pictures on website need to be replaced with accurate ones

The laundry caused a lot of problems, its a 10 minute walk to another building, its only open from 9 - 7 and its packed the whole time. You basically cant do your laudry. One washing machine for three buildings plus staff washing.

Suited my needs but outdated interior. The bath and coffee tables were stained and the bedroom could have done with a fan or cooling. Otherwise fine bed was comfortable very convenient for going to events at Melbourne Park or MCG also very close to public transport As someone who traveled from the country l appreciated the free car parking.

Easy area to get around, not to busy. Handy for a medical appointment we needed to attend. The room could have been cleaner, however, the beds were comfortable and it was very affordable for the 5 of us

Rooms basic and not representative of the photo images provided to the web promotion. Rooms were in a much worse condition. Incorrect electrical equipment - US lamp and plug (120 volt) in a Australian (240 volt) socket. Some taps dripped continuously. Not safety diagrams as required by legislation.

We booked this location purely because it promised on site free parking, unfortunately what they fail to mention is the “carpark” is tiny, and will be overbooked. So unfortunately we had to then attempt to find other carparks (costing money and risking fines and damage) nearby. A HUGE inconvenience when you’re travelling with children and people with disabilities. Our apartment on arrival was absolutely disgusting. It was clear it hadn’t been cleaned from the last visitors. There was urine all over the WALLS and floor in the toilets, the bedding and sheets were covered in hair and not even tucked in around the mattress. It looked and smelled atrocious. After reporting this to reception, requesting they organise someone to please come and clean the room the next day, we were assured that this would happen and a cleaner would be by shortly. We went out for the day and returned to find nothing had been cleaned. So called reception again who argued that they had sent a cleaner. Eventually they sent another one who was just as appalled as we were about the lack of hygiene in the apartment - even going as far as taking photos because he was disgusted and wanted to show management how poorly kept it was. Reception was highly unapproachable, and very abrupt and rude. I wouldn’t recommend staying here at all.

This is one of my Go-To places to stay in Melbourne if I’m in a budget. Great value for money - rooms are older but always spotless and clean. Soap, Shampoo & Conditioner supplied plus Milk & Tea/Coffee/Sugar. North Richmond Train Station a short 10 min walk and 109 & 12 trams stop a block away (get off at Wellington Parade)

Basic things were missed like a tea towel, felt dirty with stains on walls and carpet, kitchen smelt like cigarettes, bathroom sink was loose, behind the toilet was covered in dust and matresses were extremely hard. I know it was cheap but these things are easy to do.
