The Diver - a true Italian experience!

Wonderful property in historic building in the center of Menaggio with panoramic balcony over the city center, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, wi-fi throughout the property, crossed by a spiral staircase which leads up to the roof of the Church of Santo Stefano.
Recently renovated with incredible taste and preserving the Owner antiques, the property of the Diver is on three floors of incredible charm. The first dominates the stately living room with modern kitchen adequately separate, complete with everything, and balcony overlooking Via Caronti.
The rooms are spread over the remaining two levels. On the second floor double bedroom with two single beds. The third the majestic master bedroom with antique bed and sofa bed.
The two bathrooms, one service and the other with full bath, complete the picture.
The house of the Diver is the ideal choice for plunging into the atmosphere of the past and live a dream vacation, in a center of Lake Como in Italy that no longer exists.

Une perle rare!!!!

Un appartement trĂšs agrĂ©able, beaucoup de charme, tres cosy et super Ă©quipĂ©. Il est aussi idealement situĂ©. Un accueil extrĂȘmement chaleureux. on a adorĂ©!!!! On a qu une envie, REVENIR!!! Merci Nicoletta! merci FrĂ©dĂ©rica!

We loved our stay at “The Diver.” There was ample space. Our host added special touches to make us feel welcomed after a very long trip. The Diver is located next to one of the best restaurants in Menaggio and sitting on the balcony with a bottle of wine was as nice of a treat as exploring Lake Como was. We look forward to returning.
The Diver is located on a friendly, neighborhood street (not touristy) and is close to everything.

Top Ausgangspunkt fĂŒr Menaggio und Co.

Wir haben 10 NĂ€chte vor Ort gebucht. Die Wohnung ist wirklich sehr schön, gut durchdacht und jede Kommunikation mit Frederica war sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Die Wohnung liegt mitten in Menaggio, alles ist fußlĂ€ufig erreichbar (Restaurants, Bars, Lebensmittelladen, Bushaltestelle und Anlegestelle fĂŒr die Schiffe). Durch diese Lage kann es auch mal lauter sein und - wie auch beschrieben - ist die Kirche nebenan, die laut lĂ€uten kann. In der Unterkunft Lage dafĂŒr Ohrstöpsel bereit! Das meinen wir mit gut vorbereitet und durchdacht! :) Wer absolute Ruhe braucht, sollte die Wohnung nicht buchen. Wer bereit ist, sich voll ins Leben und gutes Essen zu stĂŒrzen, ist hier genau richtig :)

Centre stay in Menaggio was convenient and very comfortable, convenient, and close to shops for groceries, just minutes from bus and ferry. Host was friendly and quick to respond. Would stay again.

HĂŒbsches kleines HĂ€uschen

Schönes kleines HĂ€uschen mit eigenem Eingang mitten in Menaggio. Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Man ist schnell an der FĂ€hre und auch eine Bushaltestelle ist ganz in der NĂ€he - perfekt um Bellagio, Varenna, Como ... ohne Auto zu besuchen. Man wohnt hier direkt neben der Kirche, dementsprechend hört man natĂŒrlich das GlockenlĂ€uten - zwischen 22.00 Uhr und 7.00 Uhr schlagen die Glocken aber nicht. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Wir waren Anfang April hier und vor allem nachts war es sehr kĂŒhl, es war aber jeder Raum gut geheizt. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen !

A lovely property in a magical spot

We had a lovely time in this property. It’s close to local restaurants, the ferry and of course the lake. We used it as a base to visit a few places. It was extremely hot the week we were there so the fans were welcome. There are a lot of stairs so probably not suited to the elderly. The property had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Menaggio is fantastic.

Perfect location, comfortable home

Wonderfully located within minutes to the bus & ferry stations and the main town square in Menaggio. We used this property as a base to begin from each day when visiting the other towns on the lake. We loved staying in the historic property and the bell tower made it easy to find our way back each night as it towered above everything else and could be seen wherever our adventures had taken us across town. The ringing of the bells was a surprise at first, but we quickly acclimated to expect and enjoy them as contributing to the overall experience. The home is well cared for, has tons of charm and personality and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was a lovely welcome to see a little bed had already been made up for our 3 year old daughter. The many levels of the home were great for travelling in a group because it gave each couple a bit of privacy and having 2 bathrooms made it easy to get 5 people out the door quickly in the morning. It did get increasingly hotter as you moved up the levels though. A fan in the lounge and each of the bedroom would have made big difference in maintaining a comfortable temperature, however, it is Italy in August so the heat wasn't a surprise. I highly recommend this property and hope I may have a chance to stay here again!

GemĂŒtliche Wohnung im Herzen von Menaggio

Schöne, gut ausgestattete Wohnung auf drei Etagen direkt im Herzen von Menaggio. Es sind nur wenige Schritte bis zum wunderschönen Comer See. Da man innerhalb von 5 Minuten an der Schiffsanlegestelle ist, haben wir unser Auto fast gar nicht gebraucht. Dank seiner zentralen Lage in der Mitte des Comer Sees und weil es durch seine Lage besonders viel Sonne genießt, ist Menaggio der ideale Ausgangspunkt fĂŒr AusflĂŒge am Comer See. Sehr netter Empfang und Betreung durch die Vermieterin.

Wohnen wie bei Freunden

Wir bedanken uns ganz herzlich fĂŒr die großzĂŒgige und liebevolle Aufnahme in diesem Haus. Die Eignerin haben es geschafft, durch die Auswahl ihrer Möblierung eine warme und gleichzeitig lichte AtmosphĂ€re zu schaffen. Jeder Raum hat seine eigene "Handschrift" und will erspĂŒrt werden. Die KĂŒche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, was uns entgegenkommt, da wir gerne auch ab und an selber kochen. Die örtlichen LebensmittelhĂ€ndler haben ihren Anteil daran. Die QualitĂ€t ist sehr gut. Wir haben uns immer wieder gefreut, in dieses Haus zurĂŒckzukommen. Wir erfuhren, daß es ehemals als Unter- bringung der Pfarrer in der Kirche direkt nebenan gedient hat. Das erklĂ€rt sicherlich auch, daß die Zimmer alle ĂŒbereinanderliegend ĂŒber eine Treppe zu erreichen sind. KĂŒche und Wohnzimmer mit Balkon liegen auf einer Ebene. Sehr schön. Obwohl in der Altstadt liegend, gab es recht viel Verkehr, da die Straße als "AbkĂŒrzung" genutzt wird. Vielleicht liegt es daran, daß die Polder zur FußgĂ€ngerzone erst spĂ€ter im Jahr ausgefahren werden. Wer dieses Haus wĂ€hlt, sollte Glocken und Glockenspiele mögen, da die Kirche Nachbar ist. Wir fanden es sehr schön, den unterschiedlichen Melodien zu folgen. Arrivederci Ernst und Evelin

Character, comfort, and wonderful location.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is spacious, well-decorated, very clean, and has character. The three levels mean stairs but also plenty of space and privacy for everyone. The location is perfect. Everything you need--lake front cafes, shops and stores, post office--really are all around you. The ferry port with connections to Varenna, Bellagio and more, is an easy 10 minute walk and there is also bus station nearby. The lakefront Menaggio Lido with pool, sun loungers, cafe, and more is a pretty 5 minute walk along the lake. Highly recommend this Menaggio property.

Great apartment in the heart of Menaggio

We enjoyed our stay here in the historic heart of Menaggio, a charming part of Italy. The apartment is beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable and is supplied with everything you could want. Having a washing machine was a real bonus as we had been travelling for some weeks. The street could be noisy during the day, but quietened down overnight. Parking could also be a problem during the day, but okay at night. The stairs could be challenging for some.
