Great Family Holiday!

We really loved our stay here over the Christmas holidays. The accommodation is close to th beach, shops, playground and the pool is a nice bonus. The owners are fantastic people and seemed to really enjoy the guests. Some of the people we met come back annually and to me this speaks volumes. They have free wifi. It's metered as most here in Australia is. Any other place we have stayed since moving here has been hit or miss (usually miss) with the wifi. What I liked about this was there was an option to purchase 7 days unlimited from the ISP which I did (my daughter and I watched Netflix before bed) and I had no problem accessing it or streaming. I know that many people don't care much about internet on holiday but with young kids it can be invaluable on a rainy day or before bed. My daughter (9) had an amazing time. We have taken her on many holidays but this week in Merimbula at the beach was her best. She made friends at the apartments and they played together from 9AM-night. The location is perfect for it. Lots of families with a pool that is visible from the deck or kitchen of the apartment, a small playground on the grounds with a larger playground right across the street. The high points for me were being able to walk to the beach, the size of the unit, BBQ facility and the fact that my husband and I weren't the only entertainment for our daughter. We will be back next year.

We had a very friendly welcom on arrival and were shown to our apartment. The apartment itself was extremely clean and well maintain. The beach was very close just a short stroll across the road. We definitely would stay there again.

My family and I stayed for three nights end of October/beginning of November. I was very happy with the cleanliness of the unit and the facilities provided. The managers were very personable and friendly- happy to have a chat! As a 'self contained' unit, it provided a good range of plates, pot, pans, glasses etc and the washing machine was a great inclusion we hadn't expected. my only comments as to downsides would be that it would have been good to be offered fresh towels (it rained most of our trip so the ones given weren't able to dry properly) and supplied with more than 1 roll of toilet paper (family of 4 there for 3 nights!). Just a personal preference, but I hate hotels/accommodation etc which have bedspreads as I am convinced that as a generalisation they aren't washed after each set of guests. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like that and maybe one day the industry will catch on. Again I must stress that this comment is not just directed at Surfside. Will definitely stay at Surfside again and would recommend it- especially for families looking for reasonably priced self-catered accommodation in a great location!

Lovely accommodation , close to shops and beach.

Would highly recommend Surfside Holiday Apartments to anyone. Tim and Louise are lovely, friendly and welcoming couple. The area is quiet and the apartment was lovely and clean. Its close to the beach and shops so you can grab a bite to eat. We are looking forward to a return trip and staying at Surfside Holiday Apartments.

Very Clean Accessible Apartments

We found the manager very welcoming, the apartment very clean, and the appliances all modern and of a good quality. The shower was only just ok, would have not have liked to be any taller, and the pressure was not great. The position was great close to the beach and lake, and there were takeaway shop come little restaurant across the road. The apartment really suited our needs for the 5 nights we were there. The area was quiet, we were in the middle apartments, so heard very little street noise. The complex is well looked after, a very enjoyable experience.

Tim and Louise were wonderful. Really recommend this apartment...clean, roomy and comfortable. Close to main beach and a short walk to shopping centre and my favourite walking spot....the boardwalk.

Lovely stay! The hosts were lovely, and the property was very well maintained. As close to the beach as it gets, and across the road from very good food options. The apartment was nice and clean, with extremely comfy couches, and the kitchen was well equipped. Its going into winter and the heater worked, and the hot water was great.
