Overall, our experience was pleasant. The only negative issue, was the lack of sufficient heating. When reading the advertisement for the accommodation, it sounded like the place was going to be well heated. While we eventually managed to get the wood fire going, which heated the lounge room area well, the back section of the house was very cold. The heaters in two of the bedrooms, barely made any difference to the temperature of the rooms and, had it not been for finding extra quilts in the house, some of us would have been cold. I will just mention too, that there was no working lighting outside the front door. Other than those issues, it was an enjoyable place to stay.
Property was appalling. Dark and dangerous to get into with bushes and large rocks around entrance. No light. Was told there were 2 sets of bunk beds and beds for 8 people. Not enough pillows or blankets for everyone. Had to purchase them at KMART HUB in Mansfield. House was frozen inside, took overnight to warm up the house. Heaters in 2 of the rooms didn't heat up. No extra bedding to keep us warm in such a cold area of Victoria. Did not receive a call back after calling office the night of arrival asking about the heating. Disturbing communication from agents. Cupboards were filthy, popcorn left on coffee table. Shower had no curtain therefore water everywhere and so dangerous, we ended up using showers at friends rental not far. Worst holiday place to stay. Will not be returning or recommending property.
Hosts were very useful. House is located in a very nice and beautiful location where you can see the Mt Buller tips.
Property manager was very friendly and helpful when he came and helped us to set up the fire and fixed the hot water system
The location was great. The home was situated perfect for all your needs. A place where I will definitely return to so I can once again fish, hunt, outdoor adventures while my family relax in a beautiful comfy home watching the beautiful back drop. Giddy up
The property boasted great views of the mountain from nearly every room. We were a group of five and the property says can hold up to ten people but there wasn't much hot water and we were fighting an ant problem in the property. Couldn't get the oven to work and a cooking pot i went to use was filthy. Everything else was good and a very close drive to the gates of mount buller.
