I booked this hotel because it was advertised as being close to the Basilica of Guadalupe, but itâs definitely not a 20-minute walk. it took me at least 30 minutes. On the plus side, thereâs a Walmart, a Chiliâs, and plenty of food options nearby.
However, the experience inside the hotel was disappointing. The hallway to my room was dark, which didnât feel safe, especially since I was traveling alone. I usually leave the TV on when I sleep, and I KNOW I fell asleep to Harry Potter. I was shocked to wake up around 2 or 3 AM to explicit adult content playing on the TV, completely inappropriate and unsettling.
The condition of the room wasnât great either. The floor was missing some wood, and the bathroom door was chipped. When I first checked in, the woman at the front desk saw me walk in but walked away as if she hadnât. I know she saw me because I caught her moving. Later that evening, I said âgood nightâ to another staff member and didnât even get a response.
I only stayed here to sleep, and thankfully it was just for two nights. I would not recommend this place to friends or family. I even looked for nearby hotels I could suggest instead, but the ones I saw didnât have visible names â just signs that said âHotel,â which didnât help.
