No internet, no tv for all my 6 day stay
Worst stay in 12 years as a digital nomad. 6 days without Internet. Something unheard of in Mexico - i could use streaming from the depths of the copper canyon to the deep jungles of Campeche, but there, at the heart of the capital city: nada. Mostly bc they donât care. The property was informed upon check in I risked losing my job if I couldnât communicate via internet, they said it had been âfixedâ 3 times, it wasnât. For the last 3 days, they just ignored my messages (basically no reception on the premises so you can only message most of the time). Judging by reviews on other platforms, lots of people complained about this over the past 2 years . Connected TV never worked in 6 days. I found someone else old taco in the fridge. By the smell of it, it had been there for a while. The kitchen had only frying pan: a nightmare to boil water for coffee in the morning. The safe didnât work, and anyways, it was not even fixed to anything. There is no reception, so good luck to get a taxi at 5am when you canât use car apps bc no internet. Luckily the doorman downstairs seems more concerned about the propertyâs guests than the property itself (no that hardâŠ). Only plus: the bed was comfortable and shower had good pressure+ hot water.
