You can enjoy a week-long stay, or a quicker getaway as 3- and 4-night stays are welcomed. Now is the time to relax, unwind and enjoy time with family at "California Dreaming". Built in 1919, although it has had improvements and updates over the years, it still offers the charm of a true beach cottage. The place where you vacation for summers, enjoy weekends away and free yourself from the hustle and bustle of urban living.

INDOOR GATHERING SPACE
Furnished with everything you need to enjoy your stay including central air-conditioning, full-size kitchen stocked with cooking utensils, serving dishes and tableware, dining table and a full bathroom. Linens and towels are provided, beds are always freshly made prior to your arrival.

OUTDOOR GATHERING SPACE
Relax on the porch and enjoy a cup of coffee before the hustle starts, listen to the sounds of the waves. Or wrap up the evening with a BBQ on the charcoal grill. Weekday evenings you can utilize the shared lot that has a fire-pit and seating. This space is shared but usually not utilized on weekdays and will be free for your use.

Manage your expectations
This is a great property for the location. The management company is extremely receptive to any issues that come up and will immediately address them. With that being said we had many many issues that came up during our stay. Our parking spot was taken upon our arrival which left us circling the neighborhood looking for somewhere to park after a three-hour drive. That is not the property Management's fault however, they said it happens all the time and yet the parking spot was not clearly marked. This I feel is a preventable issue if it happens all the time. The carpets are stained, the 2nd bedroom side table was falling apart, squeaky doors and bed frames, ceiling fans that were stuck on high, we had ants in the bathroom for 2 days and the kitchen sink started to leak the last day. We were told that we had a propane grill, it was a charcoal grill. Again every time any of these issues came up we contacted the management company and they tried to help us the best they could. You can't beat this property for the location. The beach is beautiful and it's a quick walk. Just don't go in with high expectations for the up keep of the property.

Great lakehouse!
This was a great little beach-house right by Lake Michigan. Clean, cute, comfortable! Very short walk to the beach, and the beach wasn't crowded. I would definitely stay there again.
