Charming Lake Michigan Bungalow

2000+ square ft home located a short 4 minute walk to a private beach. Main floor includes eat-in kitchen, family room with queen size Murphy bed, full bath, and a bedroom with a Queen sized bed. Dramatic upstairs has a loft with a queen sized bed, and two additional sleeping areas with 2 twin size beds and 2 trundle beds. The basement area has a poker table, and foosball table. Another full bathroom, washer and dryer are also located in the basement level. A spacious screened in porch provides room for outdoor dining. Enjoy grilling out on the patio, and making smores by the firepit. Kitchen is fully equipped with all that is needed to prepare your meals. Home is Wi-Fi enabled. Pack and Play and high chair are available for young children. Enjoy a diverse selection of books to get lost in at the beach. Beach toys and chairs are available for your use. Enjoy the beautiful, quiet wooded neighborhood, only minutes from all of the attractions of Michigan City, as well as southern Michigan. * It is required that one person age 25 or older must be present on site throughout the stay * No parties please *

Everything was beautiful, clean, and welcoming. It was family with my 3 and 4 yr old and everything was ready for some fun. Toys, games, screen in patio, and beach fun. The walk was easy for young ones and for grandma. We would definitely plan another trip.

Great Stay

Property was clean and met our needs. The neighborhood was beautiful. Private beach was an extra plus. All the neighbors/locals were very friendly. We loved walking to the beach and through the neighborhood in the morning and evenings.

Your home was everything as described. Extremely clean, comfortable beds and great communication with host. Plenty of seating on the outside deck & patio. Great beach getaway

We spent most of a week. The place was clean, well stocked and quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed the beach. Was able to walk to beach easily and only a few stairs to reach. We visited the botanical gardens nearby and a few restaurants. Would definitely rent again.

Nice House

Overall, this is a fine place to stay. It's a short walk to the beach, and the house has plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen would benefit from more silverware and a functioning can opener. Clear instructions on how to use the outdoor shower would have been helpful. We never did manage to crack the code for getting that to work during our stay. But, for what it is, a spacious place to crash after letting your kids wear themselves out at the beach, it's nice. We would definitely rent again.

Great place for a family to get together.

The kitchen was stocked with all kinds of kitchen items, dishes, pots and pans etc. Plenty of beds for everyone. Nice porch and back yard with fire pit. Two good bathrooms with plenty of towels. The beach was great and not too far away. We also saw two small deer roaming around on two days. Wish we had stayed longer.

Family Vacation

What a great place to stay! So clean and comfortable- and such a short walk to the beach! It was perfect for me and 3 young adult kids- husband and oldest child couldn’t make it. We had more room than we needed, but that’s not a complaint. My kids and I had fun with the foosball table, too. Great location, close to everything and we had all we needed to make food and enjoy the fire pit for s’mores on our last night. We hope to revisit in the future!

Our family loved this home! The proximity to Long Beach was great, an easy walk even with our three kids. Michigan City was a great town and we loved also being so close to the Indiana National and State Parks.

Nicely decorated, very well maintained property. We had nine family members staying. Plenty of space and accommodations for all ages. Very close to the beach, just a short walk away. Host was awesome and quick to respond to any messages. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing getaway

This place is wonderful for a family getaway. We all enjoyed the quiet, beautiful screened in porch. It comfortably accommodated eight people, and the owners were responsive and kind. Short walk to beautiful beach. Highly recommend.

Great stay close to a nice beach

Great stay close to the beach! It was a lovely unique space to stay in. Keep in mind there’s only two bedroom spaces that have doors that close. But it was perfect for our needs and our kids loved the loft sleeping area! We also loved the screened in porch and the various beach items and fire pit! Great spot and we hope to come back!

beyond expectations!

We booked this place to have friends come visit us in Michigan City and it went beyond our expectations. The purpose of the stay was mostly a place for our friends to sleep and the place was bigger than anticipated. The upstairs loft had plenty of space and the beds were all made for us which was really nice to be done. Communication with Ed was extremely prompt. We will be booking this place again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The best thing was the walking distance to beautiful beach. The only safety issue I noticed was the stairs from the loft down . It is not safe for younger kids and elders. Other than that we love the place and all the amenities and beautiful area. Thanks much.

A house close to the beach

The biggest advantage of this house is that it is only a short walking distance to the beach. If there are any rain days, there is a screen porch to enjoy the day. There was only two of us, but this house could hold many more. Lots of large table games in the basement for children to play. Negatives are the master bedroom has a double bed, not a queen, which we are use to. Also, the second bathroom in the basement is far from any bedrooms. However, if the goal is to visit the beach daily, this house is well positioned.

Great location and comfortable home.

Loved the backyard and screened in porch. Nice easy walk to the private beach on Lake Michigan which is beautiful. Kitchen is well-stocked and there are plenty of toys and games for kids of all ages inside or out. The loft is charming and the house is comfortable; only has one bedroom though. Lots of stairs. Owner is very helpful. Lovely neighborhood. Good shopping close by and restaurants.
