Wonderful house, great host. The detached guest rooms and game room, have plenty of sleeping spots for guests. The pool area is well maintained, we had a wonderful time. The only downside - one of the bunkhouses had no bathroom, guests must walk back to main house for bath/shower. Would stay again, our family had a lovely stay.
We had a wonderful stay! The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect, and the host was responsive and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again â highly recommend!
My grandchildren thought this was great! The house is spacious and we had opportunity for spreading out and gathering close also. The weather didnât allow for us to use the pool or other outside amenities, but the courtyard was a nice feature. There were nice fluffy towels provided as well as Essentials like shampoo/conditioner, Q-tips,dental picks etc. the only draw back was the busyness of the street noise. I brought a sound machine, but if you are a light sleeper, this may not be the property for you. Overall it was a good place to stay for a family wedding..
Very nice house with lots of room! The pool was very nice and roomy. Big yard for the kids to run around and play volleyball & toss the football
Lots of seating outside & nice fireplaces
Game room & pool table were nice to keep the adults entertained
We hope to return this summer and spend a weekend to relax and enjoy this spacious relaxing home
Definitely recommend, & Stephen was easy to communicate with and quick at responding 10/10
This house/property will surprise anyone, when you first pull in to the front, you can't see much. As you enter the house and start exploring, you get hit with the surprise that there's alot more to it than meets the eye from looking at the front. The setup that this house has from the house to the pool, then to the back rooms, is unique. Everyone loved how they make use of all available space. Simply put, beautiful home!!
This was a great stay for us! The property was well kept and maintained, and communication with the host was great. There was a leaky toilet when we arrived, and the host had a plumber come over ASAP to fix it. Would stay again.
The property owner was very kind and accommodating. He is prompt and friendly in all his communications with me. Our family enjoy his beautiful home and loved all the backyard space it provided.
The house is a great meeting place for a large family. The courtyard was great for the kids because itâs completely fenced in. They enjoyed making sâmores in the fire pit. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the guest house does not have a full bathroom and the house is a little rundown. Other than that, Our family enjoyed our stay.
The place was great for the size of our family. However, the place was not very clean when we arrived. there was old food in the fridge and cabinets. Outdoor spaces had trash, cigarette butts, and beer cans left on the ground. The indoor carpet needs to be replaced.
The host was gracious enough to refund the cleaning fee.
Really cool property, especially the backyard area. Beautiful pool and fire pit. Steven delivered us a surprise Edible Arrangement gift, which was super kind.
The host, Mr Palma, was very nice and accommodating. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was clean.
However, my main complaints about the property was the cleanliness and the disarray.
I was bringing family with grandkids and there was a broken glass table and broken toys and swimming pool parts and Tools around that should not have been there. The refrigerators were dirty. The bathroom rugs were not clean.
The online pictures were a bit deceptive. There were not seven bedrooms there were only five. There were not three bathrooms, there were only two and a half.
Things were broken in the home. One of the toilet seats was busted and the other toilet rocked back and forth. One of the stoppers in the bathroom sink was broken and stuck and would not drain.
There was broken furniture. We had to set mouse traps to catch a mouse that we saw running around in there. There were busted balloons around inside the house, probably from a previous reservation. And we could not get the Wi-Fi working in theback part of the property
We made a phone call to Mr Palma and he told us that he would be sending people over to tend to our concerns. A cleaning lady was supposed to come and never did show up. The pool cleaner and the yard guy did show.
A couple of my children that were staying there with us have stayed in vrbo's before, and they said that this particular property is one of the worst that they had stayed in. We will not stay there again and we would not recommend it to anyone.
Great layover between Philmont Scout Ranch and Austin, TX
Steven Palma was super helpful at all stages of renting this property. It was fantastic to stay there. We had a group of four adults and 10 teens. We were able to find room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The place has a nice washer and drier, so it was easy to keep the pool towels under control. It was easy to get food from a take out place to keep the teens happy. The place is fully equipped in the event someone wanted to cook. It was too hot for a fire, but we had planned on using the fire ring. The 109F day time temperature disuaded us. Steven, thank you for your hospitality!
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
This is a great place. Does lack the upkeep outside in the grass area between the casita and main house. The host mentioned that it had been booked 2-3 x before our booking for the weekend. The host was accommodating and I have no complaints about him. However, while the property is big enough it was lacking in some areas such as batteries for remotes, and bulbs in many of the night lamps. At the casita; one of the individual rooms in the casita has a kitchenette and the refrigerator was not working and had to be defrosted to get it working. We picked that room because it could accommodate the baby's needs. The bed in that room and another bed in the larger room had broken support boards. The larger room is described on VRBO as 3 bedrooms. There is only privacy for 1 bed and one of the beds is a futon that turns into a bed. (I would not consider it a bedroom unless there is privacy.) The pool was dirty but a pool person did come out and clean. The area around the pool had debris from the trees and dirt. We swept, shoveled and water hosed cleaned every day (including the casita area) because the trees had droppings and yes, the West Texas wind does blow dust into the pool and patio. There is only 1 grille that is in any sort of working order. One of the teenagers cut himself by stepping barefoot on the glass on the put-put green. The casita area has a game room with garage doors that open. However, one of them could not be secured locked and it made me nervous.
