This lovely apartment is fully equipped and furnished to a high standard. Gated entrance with 24hr security.
Wi-fi.
Fully air conditioned (hot & cold).
It has a superb balcony that's accessed from the living area and from both the bedrooms.
The sitting room/dining room has seating for 4 persons, 40” Smart TV and DVD and leads out onto the balcony with views to the sea and the delightful town of La Cala de Mijas.
Fully fitted kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer, hob & oven and microwave.
Master bedroom with king size bed, fitted wardrobes, modern en-suite with Hansgrohe shower, vanity unit and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds, and fitted wardrobes.
Separate shower room with Hansgrohe shower, vanity unit and heated towel rail.
Communal pool with toilets/changing rooms and First Aid room.
Paddle tennis (free and bookable at the entrance reception).
A 10 minute walk into the centre of the lovely town of La Cala de Mijas with its bars, restaurants, shops and supermarkets.
There is a Lidl supermarket 2 minutes walk from the apartment that sells freshly baked bread daily and all your everyday groceries.
There is a good bus service from the end of the road where the apartment is situated that takes you to the popular towns of Fuengirola and Marbella. Buses run every 30 mins to Fuengirola and Marbella.
There is also a lovely children's playground 5 mins walk from the apartment and smaller playgrounds and a large Pirate Ship located on the beachfront.
The local market (held each Wenesday & Saturday) is only a 5 min walk away too.
A car is not necessary.


Traveling to La Cala de Mijas, Spain

Malaga International Airport is the closest airport, only 35 km away from the property, and is served by many airlines such as Jet 2, Wizz, Vueling, Ryanair and EasyJet etc.

Getting to the apartment:
Airport Taxis:
On exciting the airport terminal, the taxi rank is located on the right hand side. Uber and Bolt (via Apps) also operate from the airport.

Public transport - train and bus combo:
The train station is a 2 minute walk across from the airport terminal - just follow the train signs. Please purchase a ticket to Fuengirola from the ticket machines at the ground floor entrance. Trains run every 30 minutes to Fuengirola from approximately 6:30am to 11:30pm (times may vary during Winter and Bank Holidays) and tickets cost under €3 per person. On arrival at Fuengirola, exit the station and cross the road and take the street on the right. In around 100m you will be at Fuengirola Bus Station. Please purchase a ticket at the ticket office before boarding bus no. 220 to Marbella. Exit the bus at the stop AFTER La Cala de Mijas town centre stop (you will know you are here as the stop is located on the roundabout under the road bridge). You will see the Lidl supermarket on the right as you approach the stop. The apartment is located on the street to the left of Lidl.

Car rental
A car is not necessary but if you do choose to hire a car, pre booking is recommended.

Golf
The apartment is situated in the Golf Valley with excellent course including the famous La Cala Golf, Mijas Golf, Miraflores Golf, La Siesta Golf, Santana Golf, Calanova Golf, and El Chaparal Club all within 10 minutes. La Noria Golf is within walking distance of the apartment.

Had a great holiday at this lovely apartment. It was a real home from home - spotless, comfortable and very well equipped. We especially enjoyed the large balcony. Lovely apartment in beautiful La Cala

La Cala is a great place for a family holiday and the apartment was a fantastic base. The large balcony gives views across to the sea and to the large pool and the apartment itself was clean and spacious for the 4 of us with an excellent shower. The apartment was well equipped for any stay to prepare a meal and the proximity to Lidl made shopping easy without the need for a car. You can walk to the beach in around 10-15 minutes dependent on where you prefer to be as well as a number of restaurants in La Cala itself. Communication with Mags prior to our stay and then with Jackie whilst we were away meant that checking in and out was made easy. All in all we had a lovely holiday and recommend without hesitation.

Het appartement is werkelijk van alle gemakken voorzien. Je hoeft bijna zelf niets mee te nemen behalve wellicht handdoeken. Een badlaken meenemen is wel aan te raden als je naar het strand wil of bij het zwembad wilt liggen. Het balkon is prima van formaat. De 2 enige minpunten zijn : het gebouw is gehorig en in tegenstelling tot wat in de advertentie staat is het bed in de master geen kingsize maar queensize. Het contact met de verhuurder was prima

The whole area surrounding the apartment was aesthetically pleasing and the apartment it’s self was very well equipped and tastefully decorated. We hired a car for our stay as it was required to access golf courses but central location in the town is excellent for restaurants, bars, the local market and shops, Lidl is about 500m from apartment. The beach was easily accessible on foot about a 5min walk from the apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to get back.

Family Holiday in Cala De Mijas

The apartment is well situated to give easy access to all the amenities in the area, the apartment is very comfortable and well fitted out with a very spacious balcony with some nice sea and mountain views. Kitchen is well equipped with microwave, oven and kettle etc, there is also very good internet access and the Tv has pre installed netflix on a fire stick, all in all a veritable home from home, would have no hesitation returning to the apartment again!

Another amazing holiday in “our summer house “ excellent accommodation

We just love this apartment and Margaret is as always 😘amazing.....we feel like one of the family. Liz is excellent when welcoming you and so friendly, and great to have her there if ever we need. Fantastic apartment in great location

From 1st communicaiton with Mags to end of the visit and handover with Liz everthing was spot on. The apartment itself is very spacious, and has everything you need while self catering. Very much a home from home. The complex is very secure, and very well maintained. Plenty of areas to sit by the pool, and on the grassy area surrounding it. Lots of palm trees so shady areas as well if needed. The pool is a lot bigger than the photos show, and was a decent temperature. The apartment is a 5 min walk to the Lidl at the bottom of the road, and is really well stocked, and laid out very much like the ones in the UK. The pastries are gorgeous, and plenty of choice. It is about 15 mins to the centre, with plenty of choice for food and drink. La Cala has a lovely family feel to it, our visit coincided with the 4 day destival which added to the experience. All in all a wonderful aparttment in a beautiful town. Book it, you will not be disappointed.

Once again excellent!

Having stayed several times before, we know the apartment and complex very well and it’s excellent standards. But it has been further improved with upgraded bathrooms which are great. Margaret (the owner) recommended Malagatransfer.co.uk to take us to and from the airport, which we used and their service was first class! Also we discovered a gem of a restaurant called Novo on the parade of shops, bars etc, (turn right at Lidl and walk straight on for a few minutes). Excellent service, very friendly and delicious food at reasonable prices! Finally, thanks to Liz the apartment manager for her support and guidance. Another great stay, we’ll be back! This must be the 8th or 9 th time we have stayed in this apartment and would not stay anywhere else. The complex is very well looked after and the pool is always sparkling summer and winter, plus complex is within walking distance to shops, bars and beach and lidel is just across the road.

We never revisit a holiday resort for fear it would change for the worse The last time we visited la Cala we had such a relaxing break we decided to do it again. Surprisingly it didn’t disappoint The apartment was very clean, cooking utensils were as new no hesitation in using them which is unusual for the wife, (sexist I know) but Jackie is quite particular about that sort of thing Helped having lithe supermarket within a 5 minute walk Buses were cheap and punctual and the train to Malaga was very nice trip Walking on the 6k promenade was a real treat Will we go back YES.
