Señorío del Olivar Mijas by Ruralidays

Holiday home near Mijas, in the province of Malaga, Andalucia.

Located in the countryside north of Mijas, this holiday home provides the ideal setting for a relaxing holiday. In addition to a quiet area, the house is conveniently located only 9 km from the beaches of La Cala de Mijas, in an authentic environment featuring mountain views and hectares of cultivated fields all around the house.

The two-storey holiday home is tastefully decorated, with wooden-beam ceilings terracotta floors, fully equipped bedrooms and an overall cosy atmosphere. The ground floor welcomes a double-height, timbered-ceiling lounge room, equipped with a fireplace, a comfortable sofa, a 50" flat-screen TV and an 8-place dining table. The independent kitchen is fully furnished, with modern appliances and rustic-style kitchenware. The ground floor also features two double bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bathtub.

Upstairs, two more bedrooms welcome up to four people in the twin beds provided. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The four bedrooms are provided with warm/cool air-con.

The kitchen opens onto a lovely shaded terrace, with an area for dining "al fresco" and a built-in BBQ. The outdoor area also features a fabulous private pool, poolside sun loungers and parasols, a shaded chill-out sofa, and a perfectly-maintained garden. The cherry on top is the basket and volleyball court, where both children and grown-ups can enjoy their holidays at best.

The access to the house is fully paved.

We were pleasantly surprised how spacious the villa was much bigger than we thought it would be everything was clean and tidy,its a must to have transport because as expected it was out of the way from main tourist areas, however easy to get to all coastal areas and supermarkets about 10 minutes by car. only minor thing it would be nice if children`s play things could be provided - bat & ball - football etc pool is designed for adults only although young children can enjoy if parents are on hand

Die Villa war wirklich atemberaubend. Der Innenraum war riesig, viel größer als auf den Fotos! Blitzsauber, wie neu. Die Aussicht war atemberaubend. Die Kommunikation über wichtige Orte etc. war fantastisch. Es wurde viel Zeit und Mühe in die Villa gesteckt; die Matratzen und Kissen sind hochwertig und sehr bequem, und die Matratze für das Kinderbett war eine richtige Babymatratze – fantastisch! Wenn ich einen Nachteil erwähnen müsste, der vielleicht nicht auf jeden zutrifft, dann ist es die mangelnde Kinder-/Babyfreundlichkeit, was leicht hätte passieren können. Vielleicht wären Sicherheitsgitter an der Treppe, Plastikgeschirr und -besteck, Poolausrüstung etc. eine Empfehlung. Es hängt alles von der Kundschaft ab :) Außerdem ist der Pool ziemlich tief; drei Kinder könnten nicht einmal den Boden berühren, also bedenken Sie das bei der Buchung. Aber ehrlich gesagt, ich kann die Villa nur wärmstens empfehlen; sie war wirklich wunderschön, inklusive all der Tiergeräusche draußen – einfach bezaubernd.

Wir waren angenehm überrascht von der Geräumigkeit der Villa, sie war viel größer als wir erwartet hatten. Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Da die Stadt, wenig überraschend, weit von den wichtigsten Touristengebieten entfernt liegt, ist der Transport unerlässlich. Alle Küstengebiete und Supermärkte sind jedoch in ca. 10 Autominuten bequem erreichbar. Einziger kleiner Nachteil wäre, dass Kinderspiele (Schläger, Fußbälle etc.) zur Verfügung gestellt werden könnten. Der Swimmingpool ist nur für Erwachsene zugänglich. Aber auch kleine Kinder können in Anwesenheit ihrer Eltern ihren Spaß daran haben.

Im Prospekt steht, dass es neben dem Kamin auch eine Heizung gibt (zusätzlich zu der in den Schlafzimmern). Diese Heizung gibt es nicht. Wir saßen abends bei 17 Grad in der Wohn-Essküche, furchtbar. Wir haben das Haus gezielt ausgewählt, weil es über eine Heizung verfügt.

Der Pool und der Garten sind toll zum Entspannen und abkühlen. Die Terrasse ist überdacht und bietet viel Platz zum chillen, Frühstücken und einfach etwas Schatten genießen. Auch der Grill ist super. Die mCe ist wunderbar - mit einem Mietwagen sind Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Strand und Co nur eine kurze Fahrt entfernt! Auch der Flughafen ist gut erreichbar. Ein tolles und or allem gepflegtes Haus. Wir würden wieder buchen.

Wir haben eine Woche im Ferienhaus verbracht und es war einfach wunderschön: geräumig, alles sauber, ein wunderschöner Ausblick auf die Berglandschaft, Geräusche von Hühnern, Eseln und Pfauen als Hintergrundgeräusch (nicht zu laut, also nicht langweilig! ;)) und eine große Terrasse und das schönste Schwimmbad. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Es hat fast eine Woche lang geregnet. Aber es ist nicht die Schuld unseres Gastgebers, es war auf jeden Fall gut für die Natur! :) Ich kann diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen!
