Modern Cottage in peaceful setting, dog door to large fenced yard, farm walks.

A unique cottage set in a beautiful country garden, inside is all completely trendy, new and modern. Two bedrooms (sleeps 4), full kitchen with oven and microwave full utensils the living area includes smart TV with Netflix, electric throw ruq bedroom one also has a wall Smart TV. Electric blankets on beds (please note bedroom two has a bunk bed with queen mattress below and single on top). Great shower with super water pressure. Huge balcony with outdoor furniture, BBQ and swinging egg chair. Large Fenced off area and pet friendly, dogs welcome inside Farm walks and beautiful wildlife. Only 5 mins from major shopping centre and airport, 10 minutes from CBD

The space

Full house with own entrance. Hosts live in seperate house on 100 acre property. We respect your privacy but are close by if you require anything
Happy to accomodate late arrivals and check outs

Guest access

Guest are encouraged to walk the gardens and visit the stables, plus you can watch from the balcony horses being schooled. We request you don’t enter horse paddocks without us with you.

Interaction with guests

We always look forward to meeting new people and discovering more about other parts of Australia and the world. If needed please feel free to txt or knock on our door.

Other things to note

We have one french and one British bulldogs that live on property. They are fenced off from the cottage but spend time at the stables. They are extremely friendly and love children and pats.
Mount Gambier has some spectacular sites to visit including The Blue Lake, Umpherston Sinkhole, and The Cave Gardens. Visit the Rail-Lands walking tracks with pop up Cafe and entertainment at different times of the year.
The Mount also has outdoor activities such as cave diving, hiking and walks
Plus it is the gateway to the famous Coonawarra Wine-tasting district.

Fantastic stay

Relaxing Pleasant stay

The cottage was warm and welcoming with all the modern cons. They accommodated our horses for an event held over Easter, the paddock was secure, safe and well protected with trees and scrubs.

Needs a thorough clean. Oven and microwave don’t work. There was a full of coffee cup left in the microwave that was mouldy. Not by us. From a previous tenant. The shower head has a lot to be desired. There were two slugs in the shower. We didn’t look forward to having a shower. The hot water in the kitchen was soo hot it melted a plastic container. The outside doors were very hard to open. The beds uncomfortable.

Relaxing stay

We had a wonderful stay at Cheryl's property in Mil Lel. The house and garden were pet friendly and suited our rescue greyhound well. The accommodation was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The house is in a very quiet and peaceful rural setting, but only a short drive to shops and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Rose Cottage

This is a lovely cottage in a private rural setting. It has all mod cons, very comfortable beds and was perfect for us and our dogs, who enjoyed the secure fenced outdoor area. Would love to stay there again.

The location of this cabin is wonderful and the cabin could have charm if only it was cleaner. There were cobwebs on the walls in corners and all over the outdoor area. The washing machine needs a thorough clean. There was no coffee maker as per advertised. The water pressure was poor. The owner was very nice and helpful.

Great country location

Comfortable, quiet cottage that is well organised. The big deck provides an opportunity from which to enjoy the outdoors. The garden is full of lovely trees and shrubs. The big surprise for us were the small birds who came up close while we were on the deck. They were as interested in us as we were in them!
