good location, large room, good mattress, dated property, inefficient check in, hotel never once replied to a single query, neither from Hotels.com message board or its own website. the only prompt from hotel was letting me know it was about to charge my card a pre-approval deposit. So the hotel is happy to charge you but not respond to messages. if you offer parking, have the wherewithal to stamp the garage receipt so when the guest goes to check out of garage, the ignorant ape attendant doesnt give you grief for not having ticket stamped & you have to wait for the attendant to call hotel to verify you have indeed checked out. in Milan, this little scenario takes >30 minutes

Hotel is well located and in fairly good condition for the price. The terrace and the breakfast buffet were the highlights for us. Unfortunately we had an issue with a clogged tub that took 2 days to resolved, not fun. Also the elevators don’t seem to work efficiently to say the least. All in all I will recommend it if you are not going to spend too much time in the hotel. Plenty of options for eating among all price ranges but what serves the best of this location is access to public transportation, hard to beat.

All staff were professional, knowledgeable, easy to deal with and provided an excellent level of service. Enjoyed upstairs rooftop bar albeit it was pricey. Breakfast was first rate. Noticed reception staff levels inadequate at times resulting in queues and having to wait for simple request. More could have been done and was dissatisfied that unlike other hotels, our room became available only an hour before the 3.00pm check in after alerting and requesting a check in as soon as possible due to our early arrival after a long flight from Australia. Room and bathroom were more than adequate

Mostly comfortable hotel, absolutely terrible service (apart from Domenico at reception). We had the misfortune of having one of our passports stolen at Milan metro, and the hotel showed zero empathy in this regard. We were not allowed to check in until we produced a police report, which took us 8 hours in total to obtain (of which 4 hours was spent physically waiting at a swelteringly hot and uncomfortable police station). The reception staff were unmoving and unsympathetic (apart from one decent Asian receptionist, whose name, unfortunately I don't recall, and Domenic, who, as a consolation, gave us a bar voucher). We do appreciate the gesture, but it was paltry compensation for a really traumatic experience, and all we wanted was to be able to check into our room (which we had already paid for in full) by showing numerous other forms of ID that we had (including my husband's passport). Instead, we ended up having to sit in the lobby for hours and hours, trying to come to terms with the catastrophes facing us, without any privacy or support. When we finally were finally checked in at 11 PM after producing the police report for the stolen passport, it was all we could do to not collapse in a heap. The bed was, thankfully, very comfortable - small mercies, and the the rest of the room was fine, other than a stoppered sink, which we were too exhausted and distraught to report. This was the worst hotel experience in my two decades of international travel and I will never return
