Overall, there was a notable lack of attention to detail to the property. Specifically, when I arrived ahead of my guests to ensure all was in order, I found that the recently laundered towels neatly rolled on the beds were wet--not damp, but wet. So were the ones I found in the laundry closet. Imagine how much mold there would have been in there had I not checked. I called the host and she displayed a total lack of concern for the problem, but I did express my dissatisfaction. I later discovered that the dryer vent was not connected when we did personal laundry, requiring extra time in the dryer to get clothes reasonably dry. There are mold issues on the kitchen counter and master bath shower, the master bath tub faucet is leaking (which creates an ugly stain on the tub floor), there are no screens on the patio door or windows, making getting fresh air a big problem. The entry floor was waterspotted and didn't appear clean. The paint touched up on the family room walls was most unattractive and overall, I was embarrassed as hostess to my family's reunion there. For the price, I expected a much higher level of care. The lack of concern when I called the host was inexcusable.
