This was mine and my husband's 5th stay at this rental! We love this place so much. We have brought our Cane Corso with us for the last 3 stays. It is so relaxing and quiet and peaceful. The view off the deck is gorgeous and has a gate at the stairs so our dog can sit next to us while we enjoy a cocktail watching the lake and the sunset. We also love taking her on the fishing boat over to the islands where she can swim and get out all her energy. The property is just as it is pictured. I love the open lay out and the kitchen! This place is one of a kind! Neighbors on both sides are also very friendly and the area is quiet. Love it so much!

Getaway By the Lake

Early summer vacation

Overall a very pleasant vacation, we enjoyed visiting the small towns in the area. The cottage was very nice inside, clean and stocked well with what we needed. The bed was comfortable which was important to us! We were a little disappointed in the deck furniture, which was quite worn and swimming in front of the cottage wasn't good. All in all, a very nice cottage that could use a little maintenance on the walkways outside. Neighbors on the East side were very friendly. As others have mentioned, all the signs posted up and down the access road referring to "rental property/not hotels" weren't very welcoming.

Great Getaway

We had an amazing time at this cute property! It is quiet and relaxing. We especially enjoyed the kayaks and aqua cycle! The cottage is perfect for a couple looking to unwind and relax!

We were looking to relax, and we did. We will say the lake was disappointing because it is over wrought with weeds. However, the house was amazing! Very homy, very clean, it had everything we could possibly imagine! Sherry and Mark were wonderful and couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. The neighbors were very nice too! Frankenmuth is close, we recommend going (don't bring pets) and so is a really great Mexican restaurant called Don Felipe.

Comfy, cozy cottage

Wonderful little cottage with spectacular views of the lake. The home is comfortable, clean, well stocked and well maintained. The hosts are accessible, helpful and friendly. We are already planning a return trip for the summertime.

Getaway

Enjoyed our stay. Surprisingly spacious for a 1 bedroom. Great views. Lots of bird watching. We loved the multiple entertaining areas and especially the wifi, since service isn't great. The covered porch was well used for rainy evenings.

romantic little getaway

Enjoyed staying at this Vrbo. It is just as described a romantic getaway. Communication with the owner was excellent and the property was meticulously clean when we got there. Enjoyed using the kayaks boat and paddleboat on a beautiful Murphy lake. The weather was excellent, which helped us stay. Excellent Vrbo property we plan on returning next year

Peaceful and relaxing retreat

Wonderful views. Cottage was well equipped with all necessities and clean. Enjoyed relaxing on the deck looking out at the water. Our dog felt at home. Mark and Sherry are wonderful hosts going above and beyond. We extended our stay and wish we could of stayed longer. Plan on staying next year.

Cute Cottage

Thank you Sherry for a great experience this weekend at your cottage. It is so darn cute and we were so relaxed. Especially in the evening sipping on a glass of wine enjoying the fire on the covered porch. Love the Hawaiian theme. Definitely will come back in the summer to enjoy the lake. Great Lake Experience

Beautiful house. Very well equipped and well maintained. Thankful to have such a beautiful place that was also pet friendly. My objective was to find a pet friendly place on the water so that I could give my pooch the opportunity to swim a bit. This property accomplished that and more. It was particularly nice to have use of a small boat with electric motor so I could give Cooper that experience as well. The owner was nice enough to swing by and give me a quick overview of the boat/motor, fire pits, etc. Great communication with the property owner/manager. Nice neighborhood. Perfect.

A bit uncomfortable

Beautiful view of the lake. Cottage very clean. Stayed for 2 weeks. It became clear as we drove into the neighborhood lane that renters are not welcome in their lake neighborhood. There were anti- renter signs on all 9 neighbors yards - it was a bit uncomfortable to know that we were not welcome and we worked at maintaining a low profile.We hoped to do a lot of fishing but did not know the electric motor was a small trolling motor- it was faster to row.Did not explore the lake like we would have if we had larger motor. If we would have known about the small motor and the disapprovals of the neighborhood we would have passed in this rental.

Relaxing week for myself, husband and dog:)

Our 4th time staying at this beautiful hidden gem. We got a peaceful week with our dog who loves to swim in the lake. We relaxed on the deck with the gorgeous view of the sunset, grilled, enjoyed margaritas while our precious fur baby slept from exhaustion of swimming on the safely gated deck. Made smores at night, and enjoyed wine,,, I cannot say enough about this place, the fishing boat was our dogs favorite because she knew she was headed to the island to swim,,,so fun! Love this place. Very clean and very quiet and peaceful.

Serene Escape

The house was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The view of the water was peaceful and relaxing. Neighborhood was quiet and private. Would definitely return!
