There's a snack bar/deli on site. Free breakfast is served daily. The business-friendly Blaine Town Inn & Suites also features a vending machine, laundry facilities, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking is free.
Check in was kind of slow, no one at the front desk when we arrived, had to ask for directions to our room, and the worker was very difficult to understand due to poor English and heavy accent.
Bed was comfy and room was clean. Hotel looked like it recently was remodeled.
We had dogs along (which I had called and asked for a pet friendly room the week before our reservation & had been told âno problemâ), nothing to sign regarding having dogs in the room, was never told about a $25/dog charge. Then while we were gone (dogs were in their kennels in the room), we received multiple calls in a row but no voicemail. I finally answered the call to be asked if we had dogs in the room and then told they are not allowed to be in the room alone. Supposedly they were barking continuously, which we have never had a complaint about before and they travel with us in hotels often. We left our in the middle of our event to come back to the hotel, dogs were not barking when we arrived.
Breakfast was quite minimal and the breakfast area was not very clean at all, ended up going out for breakfast instead. Oh and the outside garbages were overflowing and there was no seating outside anywhere.
First, the service was fast, easy and pleasant! When I booked the room, I inadvertently selected the handicapped room, which was fine, however the non carpeted floor was very dirty. I was barefoot and had to wash my feet twice, step in the shower and i about slipped. Someone had just took a shower and was a little wet. Idk but it was nasty and slippery. Therefore I didnt shower there. We could clearly hear the people upstars walking, it was loud but it didnt last long. Other than that everything was just fine. Oh also, I did happen to notice (being in the handicapped room) that there are no wheelchair ramps near the entrance. In the winter that could be challenging to manuver I'd imagine.
Owners have Family living on main floor. Very Noisy with doors slamming, kids crying and yelling and adults speaking loudly in the hallways. No "DO NOT DISTURB tags available. Construction issues with ceiling and walls. Paint splashed on walls, mirror and floor. Mid-ceiling had long, large Orange Peel (? water damage) repaired incorrectly w/large chunks of paint/spray on ceiling. No directions 4 Microwave (turning on and off). Mattresses slipped off bed frame & bedding didn't fit the mattresses. The only thing that was any good was the Parking lot . But, even it wasn't kept clean.
The hotel was fine. Check in was quick and easy. It was close to the Blaine soccer facilities. It was quiet. They take security very seriously, which is nice.
Breakfast was lacking, pillows were awful, bring your own if possible. And the shower head could use better cleaning.
All in all it was fine for a quick, cheap stay.
