Ridgeline Retreat - Fall Mountain Escape - Valley View + Fire Pit

Escape to a private Montana hilltop just north of Missoula, where crisp fall mornings, wide-open valley views and quiet evenings around the fire pit make September one of our favorite times of year. Fall is a beautiful time to visit Missoula. Spend the day apple picking at local orchards, browsing farmers markets and farm stands, hiking through golden larch trees and changing fall foliage, or taking a scenic drive through the surrounding mountains and valleys. Cooler temperatures and fewer crowds also make September and October perfect for hiking, biking and exploring Western Montana.

The lower unit has its own private entrance, offering a comfortable and private space within the property. It features one bedroom with a kind-size beds and a pull-out sofa in the living area for additional guests.

The unit includes a full bathroom with a shower and a fully equipped kitchen, making it idea for longer stays or guests who prefer their own space.

There is a cozy living space for reading and a wood stove for use during the colder months.

There is also laundry facilities available.

This listing is for the lower apartment only. If you are traveling with a larger group, the upper and lower units can also be rented together. Please note that the upper unit may be occupied if the entire home is not rented. The cleaning crew will occasionally need access to the laundry room. Please see "entire home" listing.

Ridgeline Retreat was a great place to stay. Very clean and well stocked with everything you need, right down to the binoculars and guest basket of goodies. Our only regret was that we didn't have more time to spend here. I would recommend this fun private retreat to anyone wanting time in the mountains with beautiful views yet close to Missoula.

Tucked away

We absolutely loved this place and being tucked away from the city (but close enough to explore)! Super clean, quiet, and the perfect spot for chill evenings after busy days!

Awesome Weekend Getaway

We explored Missoula and the surrounding hot springs. This was a lovely place to come back to and rewind. It was remote but still close to civilization and a wonderful spot for friends to reconnect. The beds are also very comfortable!

Missoula Dream Cabin

Beautiful cabin tucked into the forest on a ridge north of Missoula, MT, perfect place for relaxing, stargazing, and a basecamp for enjoying local outdoor recreation. The Cellar was very clean and so comfortable. The views were incredible at all hours. The hosts were fantastic, some of the kindest people one could hope to meet.

Cozy, Comfortable & Private

Waking up to a beautiful view of snow-covered trees with the morning crisp air was just what we needed. The last few times we visited Missoula we opted for a hotel; however, staying at the Ridgeline was the best choice for us this time around. If you want to get away from the city and be off the grid, then this is the place to stay. The hosts were friendly and available if we had any questions. Clean, comfortable, and cozy on a cold winter day.

Unique stay

Our first stay in an off grid home. Everything as good except my sore hip. Hauling our luggage up the small hill and down into our place as hard. We were very concerned about our usage in an off grid stay, but everything as fine for us. I was a very clean place and away from the city crowd. We enjoyed it.
