Welcome to Camp Carola Lakehouse Retreat! Beautifully wooded, half-acre lot with 150 feet of lakefront shoreline on a quiet cove perfect for swimming. Located walking distance of River Run/Lilly’s Marina and minutes from the golf course and Wood Run trailhead of the Uwharries, Camp Carola is your ideal basecamp for boating, kayaking, golfing, hiking, mountain biking, trail running, 4X4, swimming, and fishing. Kayaks, paddle board, yoga mats are included with rental. When you are done with the day’s adventures – grab a drink and enjoy the sunset over gorgeous main channel views on the deck or the private boat dock. Dock your boat here during your stay! Need to work? wifi and monitor provided. An exterior doorbell and boat house security camera is on property. TVs equipped with chromecast; Google home. family vacation

our family had a great time fishing swimming, and we had our pontoon boat dragging them around on the tubes was great. The parade came right by our house didn't have to leave to see it the kids had so much fun getting candy and being sprayed from the surprise water guns in the parade. We will definitely come back again.

Wonderful stay

My and family and I stayed at the property for 7 days and enjoyed a peaceful vacation. The only thing I wish that had been done to the property was the landscaping. The leaves weren’t cleared from the front door or the fire pit. We did find a leaf blower and extra battery to do the work ourselves.

Overall, it was a wonderful stay. The boathouse was very nice with a covering for those who don’t want sun and also no covering for fishing. The fire pit area was very nice and we enjoyed doing s’mores. The upper deck area was very nice as pictured with beautiful views of the lake. My complaints were that the yard could’ve been better kept. Needs quite a bit of updating. For example, door wall to main deck was quite a struggle to open. The walk to the dock was quite treacherous with broken cement. Front screen door locked if you shut it all the way. Wish they had a full size barbecue. Only supplied with a small one that required charcoal. Needed quite a bit of cleaning. The fan in the master only stayed on the highest volume and we could not figure how to turn it down. Freezing at night. The dock did not have a ladder, which I believe the picture showed there was one.

Happy Vacationers

We enjoyed a 10-night stay at this home that offered plenty of space for 8. Nice common areas, open porch, and peaceful setting on a cove just off the open water. We were out swimming and kayaking every day with good weather, thanks to the easy water access. This was an unexplored part of the state from us...it's a bit out of the way but we appreciated the scenic drives and lack of traffic.

Quiet location on the lake

The home was large enough for our group & adequately furnished. We spent a large amount of time on the dock & enjoying the water & the neighborhood was very quiet. The house is in need of some maintenance, particularly on the exterior, but it was roomy enough for our needs. Enjoyed our stay!

Nice lake house

A good place to stay along the lake and suited my family's needs. There were a couple of things that we did notice that needed fixing though but didn't affect our stay such as the half bathroom wasn't able to lock just like the bedroom and bathroom downstairs. They should be fixed prior to any other guest stays for the needed privacy.

An amazing family get together

We had a great time the place was excellent would love to do it all again. Lake was amazing. Fishing was very successful. So many fish. kayak was so much fun. Host and the house was absolutely excellent.

Highly Recommend

My family and I stayed here for Thanksgiving this year and had a wonderful time. The property is spacious yet comfortable and cozy. The games and den were terrific bonuses for the kids. Both the neighborhood and lake were beautiful and quiet. The owners are kind and hospitable. We have no complaints or critiques. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Lovely Lake House

Spent a long girl’s weekend at this lovely lake house and had a wonderful time. The house is comfortable, tastefully furnished, and well stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Definitely would rent the house again!

Great house for a crowd!

We had a great time at this home. Branda was very responsive and the house was wonderful for our group of 8. It rained one of the days we were there, and we really enjoyed the downstairs area and being able to gather together and watch movies.

Excellent Property

We had a great time at this location. It was perfect for 12 of us staying with 4 adults, 6 teenagers, and 2 others, ages 10 and 7. The boat dock was greatly appreciated as we brought our boat with us. The kids were able to paddle board and use the swim mat provided by our hosts. Communication was excellent, check out super simple and no problems during our stay. Would definitely rent again!

40th birthday celebration

We had an amazing time at Camp Carola! We spent a few days there for my husband’s 40th birthday. We did one adult only day, one day with all the kids and then our last day was just with our family of 4. The house was the perfect location and had a great setup for everyone to hang out and relax. We did some kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and swimming. The downstairs area was the perfect spot! The kids loved the bunk areas for them to sit and sleep. I enjoyed my quiet morning coffee on the deck and we love that the swim area was shaded most of the morning. With all the kids this was perfect especially since it was the hottest days of the year while we were there. We hope to make this a yearly trip! The hosts were awesome at communicating and answered all of my questions before we arrived. I definitely recommend staying!

Ideal for big family gathering

This well-loved home was a great spot for our three families to come together. The teens had their own space to hang out, and there was plenty of outdoor seating. The lake inlet was a little murky for swimming, but great for small watercraft. Hosts were responsive to issues that arose.

Schenck summer lake vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Lake Tillery and exploring the surrounding areas to see what all it had to offer. Impressive! The house was perfect for our family, plenty of space for everyone, and the communication with the host was stellar. We will definitely return.

Bigger grill

I came with my husband and 2 kids, sister and her 4 kids and my father and girlfriend. There was plenty of space for everyone and we had a great time relaxing on our vacation. Something we found really lacking was the grill. It was very small especially compared to amount of people the place accommodates. Overall great place to stay, would love to come back with a group of friends

Cozy Quiet Spot on the Lake

We had a great week spending quality time with family. We had plenty of laughs, lots of good food, and much needed relaxation by the lake. We fished, played in the water and just enjoyed each other's company. It was a great spot and the house had everything we needed for our home away from home for the week.

Memorial Day Weekend

This property was amazing for me and my family! My parents, siblings and all my nieces and nephews joined in the stay and everyone was please! From the location, the downstairs room (which the kids loved), dock, and the abundance of rooms and bathrooms! We enjoyed every minute of our stay and was very pleased how everything turned out! Cant wait to book again for next year!
