You can not beat the tranquility of this secluded spot in the mountains. And the owner's communication was fast and efficient. The bed was super comfy and the view of the stars at night was sublime. I enjoyed my stay very much.
It was surprising what the cabin did and did not have. It was better than most as far as cookware, kitchen supplies, shower supplies and so forth.
It was under supplied in tea towels (for a week of cooking), electrical outlets near mirrors (to style one's hair - no outlet in the bathroom) and no dresser, closet or even a luggage rack in the smallest bedroom. Linens were nice.
We enjoyed use of the deck grill, fire pit and hot tub and grilled and cooked daily.
It is pet friendly but no gates are on the porch. They say to bring your own baby gates (2) which we do not have. I would've rented 2 if they made that an option.
We had a blast zip line riding and my 10 year old grandson could not stop taking pics at Luray Caverns. Fantastic place.
My favorite pants badly snagged on a rough spot on the deck .
Some safety issues exist. The steps up from the driveway to the deck steps are unsafe and steep. We are retired, not young, and my husband has 2 ribs still healing from a past injury. He had to drag two ice chests and one large suitcase up those unsteady steps to the deck steps.
The lose stepping stones up to the hot tub are dangerous for children and adults.
The deck around the hot tub is to narrow to safely uncover and cover the tub. Narrow deck exists at the tub entry.
Two chairs were broken. The rocking chair inside; we reported quickly. It was not repaired during our stay. A lovely wooden deck chair was also falling apart.
The shower curtain is hung to low and drags on the shower floor. Another fall risk .
We will return to the area one autumn; when my youngest grandchild is big enough to zip line on Mamma Bear. They will want to see Luray Cavern again. We will look for a different cabin. A safer one.
realyly wanted to take the kids on a weekend adventure so we rented this great chalet with brand new hot tub and fire pit. updated furniture and fully-stocked kitchen was the perfect place for a weekend away. It's really close to Bryce resort and not far from major attractions.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was bigger than expected and the rooms were nice. Communication with the owner was easy. The hot tub was an added bonus. AND, the firepit in back was nicely setup.
My family and I had such a lovely time! We had a lot of fun star-gazing and sitting around the bonfire while make sâmores! Tony is the best; super responsive and took time to check on us as well!
Perfect if you have a group of friends that just need an escape. The cabin is great, the fire pit is very nice, and itâs secluded enough where you have a sense of privacy.
