The Space:

La Loft is pronounced just like “La Louvre” in French. It’s named to show respect to the artist who designed and built La Loft. Situated in CBD, La Loft is just only a stroll away to the town center of Mudgee to enjoy the perks of central living. It is the perfect space for a group stay.

La Loft is a miraculous mix of heritage and modernism. It’s an extremely unique and high quality home full of periodic features perfectly blended with a contemporary extension. Looking at the facade of La Loft, one can only associate it with a country cottage. It is indeed well preserved with the original fireplace, kitchen, bath and bedroom. They were built at the same time as the historical landmarks in town such as the Council Chamber, Post Office, Pubs and Library.

Kudos to the artist who restored this heritage property with additional modernism at the back of the original house. One will be surprised and overwhelmed by the breath-taking contemporary design of the new house attached to the original country cottage.
Black metal roof, high ceiling, floor heating and modern open kitchen - you have traversed from 19th century into modern day with a blink of your eyes. The modern backhouse is featured with a real Loft where you can star gazing lying on a bed.

Other features we love about the backhouse include the modern kitchen, fireplace, bath, open dining area, Smart TV and the generous bedrooms. Our favorite, however, is the backyard surrounded by birds’ nests. It is such a harmonious spot to relax and rejuvenate while enjoying the local wines and gourmet treats.

With a versatile floor plan, La Loft could be suitable to host group stays for up to 8 people with 4 stylish and thoughtfully furnished bedrooms:

The beauty of Mudgee is that you can do as little as you wish. It’s not a sin to completely chill out and relax without a pact schedule.

Visiting the local wineries is certainly a must for many. These wineries are within arm’s reach. Why not cruising off the main road and discover hidden gems like local gourmet restaurants or Saturday farmer's markets.

Mudgee town is full of historical buildings, trendy cafes/restaurants, boutique stores, and art galleries.

You may borrow our bikes to cruise around town. Please lock the bikes when you are not riding them in town. I hope our bikes will be well looked after since we pay $499 for each of them. If they were lost or damaged, please prepare to cover the cost. ( You can find a bicycle locker located inside of wardrobe in the laundry room )

If you are an outdoor explorer, Rolling Hills is one of the nearest bush-walking areas where locals would go.

Guest ACCESS:
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire cottage to yourself. Please make yourself at home!

We are pet-friendly - we have fully fenced yard . Please let us know about your furry friend at the time of booking so we can assess if the space is suitable for them.
Please notes that there is an additional charge of $75 per pet per stay.
( We usually only accept 1 dog, if you are more than 1 dog, please seek approval from us prior to book)

Please kindly bring their bedding and bowl and don't let them climb any furniture or sofa. No poo has been left in the Garden.

Our base rate will apply, stay up to 6 guests ONLY
If more than 6 people, an additional $75 dollar per guest per night will be applied ( Please let me know the correct no of guests prior to check-in if there is any change)

Please note, during winter season , There is a selection of firewood available for guests as well as fire-starters and matches provided during the winter months only.
Additional firewood and kindling is available from the Blackheath IGA, Mitre 10 or any of the service stations along the highway.
Extra firewood is also available for purchase from us on request.

The front house has split air-conditioning system both in the kitchen and lounge. The back house has ceiling fans in the lounge and the bed rooms. There is a Dyson cool tower in the loft.

Security Camera:
An outdoor camera is set up on top of the main entrance facing outward towards the driveway.
