When I booked our room I did not realize there was a motel section of rooms and then the Inn rooms. They were nice and got us a room at the Inn but it was much more expensive, not a pleasant surprise!
This property has a hotel building and a motel building. I was not aware of this when I booked my rooms. When I checked in, I was informed of the other building and if I preferred not to stay there I could stay in the hotel for a higher price. My brother and I each had a room originally. When I looked at the rooms we were given, I did not hesitate to walk out and go back and request different accommodations. Due to the higher price, my brother and I shared a room with two Queen beds. I was reimbursed for one of the rooms and paid the difference at the hotel for the single room. If we had decided to stay in the motel we would have had to return to the hotel across the parking lot for breakfast the next morning. As it was, there was an unexpected change to our itinerary and a delay in checking out, so breakfast was put up when we left at 9:30am, so I cannot speak to what it was like. The staff was friendly, but I did not appreciate the hassle and last minute change in accommodations due to information about the different buildings and what I reserved made clear prior to reserving online. The bed was too hard for my liking and the bottom of the shower curtain was stained. Unfortunately, I cannot say I would stay there again.
Best place to stay in Winchester, but the beds were hard and we did not sleep well. Shower and shower door needed fixed. The rooms where priced high. Since there is no other option in town I will continue to stay there when traveling to see family.
The receptionist was very rude, I'm guessing she was mad at the world. The beds were horrible and to top it off the cream cheese for the bagels was spoiled. Definitely avoid this place at all cost
This property has a hotel and motel option. We did not know that when we booked. We were in the motel part. The room smelled like a nursing home, we had multiple spiders and flies in our room. There are 2 doors. One that had a chain lock. We didnât feel safe. The microwave wasnât actually in our room it was in a lobby. The room was very dusty. The sheets were very discolored. I didnât sleep very well at all and woke up to broken glass outside our door and around our vehicle. It was very noisy. We could hear people in the room next to us yelling and hitting the walls even over our TV and box fan. Not sure what the hotel part looks like but we overall werenât happy. Likely would not stay there again. The staff was very friendly at check in and check out. That was the best part of the stay. Definitely need to do some updating to the motel parts.
The hotel was nice, close to Winchester Speedway. The room was clean and fresh except there was mold around the shower door. The staff was very friendly.
I frequently travel to Winchester for business, and the Randolph Inn is the only good option for an overnight stay. This hotel seems to be "modeled" after hotels like the Hampton Inn's, but I would say that the Randolph is much cleaner that the typical Hampton Inn. I generally stay in Hilton properties and I would give the Randolph a higher rating for comfort, cleanliness and breakfast options! The employees are always very friendly and helpful. There is a "budget" option at this hotel that is the original motel that the Randolph was built on the same property. This is also a decnt choice in the area, but the main building is better, for sure. Fortunately, the folks in this area recognized the need for overnight accomodations, and built this hotel, otherwise, yoou're driving 25-30 miles to Richmond or Muncie to spend the night.
