The 180-acre oceanfront resort community of Oceanside Village (OSV) is a favorite place to escape the rigors of life. Amenity highlights are:

Beachfront – Enjoy the Atlantic Ocean accessed via our private beachfront parking, which includes outdoor showers, restroom facilities, and the Conch Cafe.

Pools – Two outdoor pools are located off Park Green, complete with tanning ledge, kids’ water park/splash pad, hot tub, kiddie pool, and grills. The indoor pool is located on Dipper and includes a kiddie pool. Morning water aerobics classes are popular. Open every day 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Fitness Center – A small fitness center with treadmills, a recumbent bike, an elliptical machine, and free weights is located in the Activities Center on Dipper. Check in with the OSV office about access for a nominal fee. Open 5:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Tennis Courts – Two lighted tennis courts located next to the Community Center on Dipper are available day or night. See front gate security for access.

Playground and Baseball Field – Located in the green area next to the Community Center on Dipper (for children under 12).

Volleyball Court – Located next to the Community Center on Dipper. Balls are available from the OSV office M-Sa 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Horseshoe Pits, Bocce, and Basketball Courts – Horseshoe pits and bocce courts are located next to Community Center on Dipper. The basketball court is located in the green area next to the Community Center. See front gate security for equipment.

Library – Enjoy a selection of books, along with two computers and a printer in the library located in the Activities Center on Dipper. Open M-F 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Fishing – Lake fishing is permitted in designated areas - not in front of residents’ homes. Fishermen are encouraged to throw all fish back into the lake.

Golf – The Grand Strand boasts more than 100 golf courses and OSV is conveniently located across the street from Tupelo Bay Golf Center, a lighted 18-hole Executive Course with enough distance, sand, and water to challenge even the most experienced golfer while not intimidating the beginner. The Driving Range and “pitch and putt” Par 3 Course make Tupelo Bay Golf Center a facility for all golfers.

Surf Fishing – Individuals can recreationally fish in saltwater from the shore (beach, bank, private dock, free public pier, etc.) with a saltwater fishing license which can be purchased online at www.dnr.sc.gov.

Miniature Golf – Just across the street is Runaway Bay, a 36- hole Jamaican themed course. Check with the OSV office or Rose Real Estate for discount coupons.

Myrtle Beach – Just 10 miles north is the hub of the Grand Strand, a 60-mile string of beaches. Along the beachfront boardwalk are arcades, souvenir stands and restaurants, Family Kingdom amusement park, and the SkyWheel, one of the country’s tallest Ferris wheels.

Murrells Inlet – Known as the “Seafood Capital of South Carolina,” Murrells Inlet is located just five miles south of OSV on U.S. Highway 17. This historic fishing village offers a variety of restaurants and a laid-back atmosphere. Stroll along the MarshWalk and Veterans Pier in the heart of Murrells Inlet and take in the spectacular waterfront views while visiting the area’s finest restaurants.

Charleston – Less than two hours south of OSV is historic Charleston. This charming, port city founded in 1670, is defined by its cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages, and pastel antebellum houses, particularly in the elegant French Quarter and Battery districts. The Battery promenade and Waterfront Park both overlook Charleston Harbor, while Fort Sumter, a federal stronghold where the first shots of the Civil War rang out, lies across the water. Foodies will appreciate that Charleston celebrates, and almost worships, the bounty of its surroundings: from freshly caught blue crabs to grains milled on nearby Edisto Island, offering a culinary landscape like no other.
