Easy on and off the highway with grocery store, gas, and McDonalds nearby. The owner was great with information about fishing and the boat ramp was just down the road, although Giles is closed. Thx Matt
Very clean. Three hangers are not enough for two people. A box of tissues would be nice, maybe some paper towels for the kitchenette. 10 am check-out is too early, especially when check-in isn't until 4 pm. Sleeps 3 is kind of a stretch when it's a very narrow chair that is six inches from the floor. A towel bar or at least another hook somewhere for bath towels would help.
Good experience overall. Entrance security seems pretty good. Neighborhood out behind the building and around in general...a little sketchy, but I had no issues. Property seems like a converted office building or something. No biggie, the room itself was serviceable and I was on the go for most of my stay, so all in all, a good experience. I'd likely stay here again since North Muskegon has little to offer in alternative lodging and I wanted to bel close to the State Park, etc.
The pictures were really accurate but had some issues with my passcode unlocking the motel. Called Nicole and she fixed everything on the spot. Recommendation would be to have an iron/steamer there.
When I checked in - luckily I had a friend with me âŠ
Door 5 is in the shadows - and the only room in the building with a step in front of the door⊠it is the same color as the flooring and wall and I tripped on it and fell ⊠never saw it and landed hard with a bag in my hand. If Iâd have really gotten cut or severely injured - Iâd have laid there a few days until someone came up there
That needs some yellow tape or something to mark it so it can be seen!!
Twisted one knee and scraped the other ..
but it was my first day so I made the best of it ..
