It could be fantastic but a little tired to be honest bbq area scruffy bbq awful shower 1940s tv just doesnt work but with a little work it could be fatastic , stagnant water to end of pool they tried to sort haven for mosquitos 40 bites and counting.Loved crete and bali though.
Loved our stay, the villa is a distance from Bali, so fitness for walking or a hire car recommended, the setting is perfect if you are looking for a peaceful place. The inside is simple may be require a few better glasses, plates etc all abit mismatch. For us the outside was everything and we would return if the price was right.
The property was lovely. Exactly as described and the location details given to find it and the check in process very easy. The apartment was very clean and simple, with everything you need for a family holiday. The pool was lovely and any small and minor issues we had were swiftly addressed by our contact. A minor improvement would be to provide more glasses / beakers in the aprtment. These were in shorty supply!
If the ancient Greek Gods would still live they would stay here!
After the Worldwide Corona pandemie and it looked like we were one of the first tenants this season (05-2022) the house needed a little "love" and this can happen. More important is that if something can get improved how it is arranged and this was SO GOOD (thanks to Regina and the staff)!!!!
The road signage to the house is very well positioned and clear, so it is easy to find when you arrive with your (rental)car. In front of the house you have a parking space.
The living is spacious as well as the kitchen only some accessories needs a little up-date. An extra light and/or comfortable seat inside would be welcome in case you arrive early of end of the season when in the evenings it gets colder.
The garden which is situated around the house is very well maintained and beautiful. The terrace is large and has 6 (!) comfortable beds and two umbrella's. During the day you have always the Sun and as well you can find enough shade which makes it possible to stay a whole day comfortable on the terrace. The swimming pool is large enough to swim a littke and to cool down on a warm day. I suspects that the gardener keeps the pool so clean. Only you hardly see the man around but he takes very well care of the property and safety.
On the pictures you see a house on the area. The houses are in such a way situated that you do not hear at all and or hardly see anyone. And I believe that the other house is a more permanent house from local people. So you stay in a very private and safe surrounding. And be in so a quiet area does not mean you live remote. In 3 minutes, by car, you are at a supermarket or beach, which is downhill straight on (so far the roads are straight on Crete) at the centre of Bali.
The bathroom has room enough too and is equipped with a new model washing machine, a bath with shower.
The beds are comfortabel and and the bedrooms, again, offers space enough.
During your stay you find towels and you ca even borrow beach towels at the service organisation, which offers an EXCELLENT service and which is a few minutes up the road. The people who takes care of villa Dimitros are VERY dedicated and very, very kind!
We like to thank those nice people once again for the attention and care. It is simply a GREAT place, a very nice and clean house.
Thank you!

Ideally situated away from the noise and bustle of Bali itself, about 1km inland, surrounded by olive groves, easily accessible by car from beaches and supermarkets. The ownersâ villa next door is screened by trees so you have privacy. The beds are comfortable if you like a firm mattress, there is a/c in both bedrooms and mosquito netting built in to all windows except the poolside French windows, where there is a voile curtain.
BUT the website states that there are sofas in the living room â incorrect. There is a long wooden bench seat with firm seating pad and scatter cushions along the back and arms â this was extremely uncomfortable. In addition there were 2 carver-style chairs â this was the sum total of the indoor 'casual' seating. There was also a dining table and chairs - these were too high to be able to sit with oneâs legs under the table â and, on the pool terrace, a big glass table and 4 dining chairs. Plenty of loungers and parasols and the pool itself was a delight. Another inaccuracy concerns the a/c â the website states that the villa is air-conditioned â it is not! The 2 bedrooms are, but there is NO a/c in the living room.
The kitchen equipment was adequate and the fridge/freezer large enough for a family of 4; the dishwasher, however, was tiny â you would need to use it after every meal. The washing machine worked extremely well â BUT why are there no manuals in the villa? It is all a matter of guesswork - luckily we found an English-language manual for the w/m on the internet (the signage on the machine is all in Greek) and managed to work the d/w by pressing buttons at random until something happened. No ice-cube tray was supplied â again, this is basic stuff, one shouldnât have to run around at the beginning of a holiday to make up for the deficiencies of the agents and/or owners.
Poolside lighting is programmed to come on at dusk: for the first 3 days it did; thereafter it came on after 10pm â hardly conducive to poolside BBQs! We alerted the agents twice, but nothing was done about it. To be fair, however, they did react quickly when we texted them about the lack of an ironing board, and one was brought within the hour. The pool was kept spotlessly clean and the villa was cleaned twice a week with changes of bedlinen and towels, so no complaints at all on that score. The owners just need to spend a bit of money on a couple of Ikea sofas and do an inventory check between lets; it would then get 5 stars.
An amazing outdoor area and pool but very basic interior
The outdoor area and pool were amazing. However, the interior of the villa was very basic, especially for the money we paid. It lacked essential items such as hand wash, tea towels, and other certain kitchen items. The villa certainly isn't fully air-conditioned, only the bedrooms are. The only lighting in the main room was from the ceiling lights (which gave off a horrible lighting): the floor lamps didn't even have electricity let alone bulbs. The TV was very old and there were no British satellite channels, although there were Iranian, Syrian and Yemeni ones. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows stained. It wouldn't take a lot of money to make the interior far more inviting. I hope the owners take this as a positive criticism as we think this villa could be a truly amazing place to stay.
