Very nice stay. Our room could have used some prior maintenance. The shower had broken bar, continually dripped. The beds were like bricks, if you enjoy that much firmness. Cracked shower wall. Overall, the Service desk personnel were EXCELLENT. Really wish there were a more direct route between the two towers. The staff made the stay excellent,, all were friendly and helpful...

Lobby smells like mold and mildew. Trim needs painted with a fresh coat of oil base paint. Breakfast buffet is limited and over priced. Room had roaches and chair was ripped. Night stand legs were broken. Toilet needed snaked upon arrival. Toilet paper holder was broke. Hallway floors never cleaned outside rooms. No security cameras seen anywhere. Parking was across the street and woke up every morning to the music of ice cream trucks playing Christmas songs in August. Beach and pools and hot tubs kept us happy. Kids had a great time!!

The lobby and restaurants in this hotel were great. I really liked that there were lots of dining/food options and a gift shop on site. The water park was great, but I was worried about my kids (ages 10 and 12, so not little!) getting seriously injured on the bigger water slides - they were a bit intense, but my kids loved them, while my husband and I almost had a heart attack every time they went down! Water park areas could have definitely been cleaner - someone’s hair extension was on the floor in the exact same place for both days of our stay, among other debris. We really enjoyed the outdoor pool area, especially the restaurant by the pool, so we could eat while our kids enjoyed swimming. The hotel hallway on our floor was dirty and there were several pieces of trash on the floor. The door to our room was very hard to open and close and was very dirty. The room itself wasn’t too bad, but certainly could have been cleaner. The pull out couch bed was very uncomfortable and had some sharp pieces sticking out. There was a mattress cover on it that was pretty gross looking, but housekeeping kindly brought us a new one and even put it on the bed for us. We did appreciate the size of the room, the balcony overlooking the ocean, the little kitchen with large fridge, a sink inside and outside of the bathroom, and 2 TVs.

This place was not as expected. I was put in tower 2, which wasn’t the renovated building. The building was beyond being run down. The ‘suite’ was such an eye sore. I requested to be moved and was denied. So I canceled my reservation and left. The “water park” was in the same condition. Stay away!

Excellent communication. I requested new pool cues because the two available were broken, and the next day I found two new ones. An employee was in the elevator when I entered, he asked me what floor I was going to, I thought he was going up too, but no, he pressed the button for my floor, wished me a good day, and left. I'd never experienced such courtesy. We were able to check in two hours early. Great service at Starbucks, at the bar in the pool and the restaurant. Thank you all!

I loved how thoughtful the amenities were at this property. Indoor and outdoor pools, game area, daily activities, coffee shops within the hotel, easy access to the beach, waterslides, all shops are within 10 mins of driving, and broadway at the beach is also within 15 mins, super cool area. I honestly can't wait to vacation again and return back to Dunes Village. Ps. All the staff were friendly and welcoming.
