Nestled amongst the treasured Live Oaks and Spanish moss native to the area, this original local beach cottage was lovingly and mindfully refurbished with a large living area overlooking the beautiful patio, mature landscaping and small creek. The split floor plan features two bedrooms each with a queen bed as well as a queen size Murphy bed in the living room, one full bathroom, a dining area and a rear ramp entry for accessibility, easy loading/unloading. Close to the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk, restaurants, shopping, Brookgreen Gardens, Huntington Beach State Park and more!

What you don't see

I travel a lot...not just through the US but internationally as well, so I have stayed in hundreds of places, I chose this property because of the proximity to my family that just moved to Murrells Inlet and that I could bring my dogs and advertising that the yard was fenced. Maybe my opinion is only mine but the place didn't live up to what I paid for. I only booked 2 nights and paid over 700. I am aware that VRBO charges a fee.1.Doors are not secure, some don't lock and also had problems with the code provided which added over an hour to my arrival time. Get the managers # before staying2. Not very clean for the fee. if someone contacts me, I will let them know. Stepped on glass in kitchen, right away, no broom anywhere3 Electrical issues. if someone contacts me, I will let them know4. Plumbing issues- if someone contacts me, I will let them know5. Comings and goings of other people, leaving the gate unlocked...I would NEVER let my dogs out anywhere unsupervised.. but it was unnerving to have cars coming into an area that I thought I paid for and leaving the gate open...really just for safety reasons6.There are many more thingsWanted to give credit though to the very pretty landscaping. Pretty natural settings..beautiful Flowers & trees. Unfortunately with all the rain, LOTS of mosquitos so bring spray. Never got to the beach but know it is close. And the grill works great, although the last person using it, left it crazy dirty, gas on but I scrubbed it.

Wonderful!

Great location. Short drive to Marsh walk and Pawleys island. House was every thing you could need. Clean, comfortable and well equipped down to the little details. Shaving kit, toiletry kits and homemade cookies! Loved that we could bring our fur babies!! Will absolutely stay here again.

Thanksgiving Weekend Getaway

This cottage met our purposes perfectly. I was travelling with my two daughters. We were looking for a place to spend our 1st Thanksgiving without my wife/their Mom. My daughters were intent on making a full dinner, and this house had everything they needed and some!! They roasted a spatch-cocked turkey, cooked gravy and cranberry sauce on the stove top, and baked casseroles and pies. My dog, Maggie, enjoyed the charming yard on her walks. The cottage was perfectly located for our visits to Coastal Carolina University and the Marsh Walk at Murrells Inlet. We also used the park pass to visit Huntington State Park. We will definitely look to stay here again!

The Cottage

This property was an excellent experience for my family and I. We really enjoyed the cottage, especially the beauty of the lot its on. It was clean and comfortable. It is close to the inlet, the beach, gas stations, restaurants, grocery stores and Huntington Beach State Park. Michael was easy to communicate with and the check in process was very simple. We would absolutely stay here again!

Property has everything you need and more! Gorgeous trees and garden, extremely comfortable beds, beautiful kitchen and living room, and the game table was PERFECT for quality time with family. Super convenient to everything Murrells Inlet!

Cottage get away

The property inside and out was beautiful. Way more than we expected. On a quiet street but close to restaurants, church’s and the main route 17 business. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to anyone looking for a small place to stay. And pets are welcome.

Best one yet!

I take my mother on 1-2 vacations a year. We stay in VBRO because we both have pets. She is elderly and it is hard to find a place with no steps and this had a great ramp for her. Also the grounds were just beautiful. Well taken care of. The inside of the home was just as beautiful. This is by far one of the best VBRO we have stayed in. So relaxing. We felt safe being to older women. It is far enough away from the hustle but yet convenient to everything. Just wish we had more time. Thank you so much for sharing your dream home with us. We will be back!

Home at the Inlet

This was are 2nd stay at this property location. 1st stay was at the house next door and was very nice. Both homes were very clean. Great location to everthing.It was great we could have are dog with us, just a word of caution watch for snakes! Saw one both stays at the property. One at the door, one at the creek that runs between the homes.

Great stay In Murrells Inlet

We really enjoyed our five day stay here. The home was perfect in every way especially considering the town is still cleaning up from IAN. We had our two pups with us and our host left dog biscuits and bones in the kitchen as well as chocolate chip cookies for the adults 😋Furnishings are lovely and kitchen is well appointed. The garden areas are beautiful and the fenced yard is great for dogs to exercise. The owner lives nearby and is quick to respond if you have problems or questions. We plan on returning next year at this same time ! No complaints here whatsoever 😃

Beautiful location in Murrells Inlet.

Very nice, roomy cottage in a setting reminiscent of old Low Country with huge live oaks, Spanish moss and well-kept gardens. Convenient to everything. Owner takes pride in the property and quick to address any problems. Only suggestion is that one of the bed frames has sharp corners which could use some padding.

Perfect getaway!

My husband and I along with our fur baby loved our stay! The property was in excellent condition as pictured and very clean. We had everything we needed! Beautiful landscaping shaded by live oaks. Michael stayed in touch to ensure we had what we needed but gave us our privacy. The only possible con to this property is the laundry situation in the building in the back which isn't really a con because you can arrange access. There are quite a number of cars coming and going every day to the laundry in the back building but it's not a bother and one of them comes with 4 adorable Frenchies which is a +++. They are so sweet and friendly that we looked forward to their visit each day! We had a really wonderful stay and couldn't be happier with the property!! We hope to return again!

Wonderful Stay!!!!

The reviews are right. The house is really really nice! We had a great time and will definitely be back. My hubby met Jamie & Michael and said they were really nice and helpful and loved that our fur baby Charlie got to play with the other dogs. Best VRBO rental thus far. They really thought of everything!!!
