Overall not bad. The place was a bit dated and pull out couch had no blankets just a sheet set. Balcony view was good but so.e construction and pipe building right next to us was unnerving.
Actually stayed at the Carolinian Beach Resort 733
The building and common areas were well maintained. The furniture in the living room, dining room area was very cheap and not at all new. Nice floors and appliances. Get a bag of ice if you use it, none in the unit and just one tiny machine for the whole place. Beds were ok. Great view, great beach
Checking in was a BREEZE; I received an email & text message with all of the information for our stay. After getting settled in, our party noticed a few minor issues so I contacted the property manager about them. They took care of the issues almost immediately- within 1-2 hours.
There are two balconies in the unit, one off of the living room & one off of the master bedroom (the one with the king size bed). Both have absolutely beautiful & stunning views. Having a full-size kitchen in the unit definitely helps tremendously if you are vacationing with a family (or even two like we were). We were able to have meals in the unit & not have to eat out all the time. The walk to the beach was easy- doesn't take more than 2-3 minutes since the resort is right on the beach. Our unit also had a beach blanket, a couple beach chairs, & beach shovels in one of the closets which was SO helpful for us since we traveled from across the country!
If there were any "gripes" from our party, we would have to say:
1. There's not enough seating in the living room for our party of 5 (there's a three-seater couch), but we made it work using the dining room chairs.
2. The floors were sandy when we got there.
3. Both bath tubs in the bathrooms are curved so you don't really have a "space to put your bottles, just on the bottom of the bath tub (the part you step over to get in/out).
Overall, it's a great unit for being near the beach & we definitely recommend it.
The place was dated and could use new furniture. The dinette chairs were horrible. The refrigerater did not properly close. The bedroom dressers in the main bedroom were very beat up and needed to be stained. The oven handle came off in my hand but i was able to repair that muself. The floors were sagging. We could not use the washing machine, it had a note on it saying it was loud but working. We used it one time because it was so loud we litterally thought it was going to explode. Im not saying ill never stay there again but definitely not in that unit.
