Right on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, Yachtsman Resort is an oceanfront treat that won't break the budget! You'll be in the heart of everything--restaurants, amusement parks, and bars are all at your doorstep.

The space: This is an efficiency suite / studio apartment with 1 queen bed, and a queen sleeper sofa. There is one full bathroom with a whirlpool tub, a full kitchen and dining area. Please note, there is NO BALCONY, though the photos give the illusion of a balcony. Parking and Wi-Fi are included.

Guest Areas: Enjoy the beautiful patio with heated outdoor pools, hot tubs, a children's pool, shuffleboard, and a picnic area with BBQ grills. If it's raining, take advantage of the indoor pool. The activities desk offers access to discounted tee times and tickets to area shows and attractions.

Other things to note:
Please note: the Yachtsman requires a $200 Refundable Security Deposit upon check-in. The security deposit is refundable after an inspection of the room is completed, after check-out.

This was a great stay overall. We were very cold the first night, as we did not know we had to request the host switch our system from A/C to heat. When they finish renovations in the South Tower, this will be an amazing value and view for your money!

The host was very welcoming and accommodating, the unit certainly could use some updating to get rid of the rust in the refrigerator. The kitchen cupboards a little scary as it is falling down and the roach in the bathroom sink was startling, but the unit was very clean. Initial first impression of the facility itself leaves much to be desired, but the view from the unit is beautiful and the housekeeping staff was great as well. The key locked us out at 9:50 and I had to go down twice to get it to be opened up again so we could finish moving out otherwise we really enjoyed it.

Great ocean view, but room was shabby. Tub jets in room didn't work. Toaster didn't work. Room was cold and only 1 extra blanket, but staff was quick to get heat turned on. Lots of smokers on premises, in corridors and by elevators.

This was easily one of the worst stays I’ve ever had. The issues started at check-in. I booked and prepaid through Travelocity, but was told the hotel “didn’t receive payment” due to a new system. It took about 40 minutes to resolve. The room initially looked clean with a nice view, but the biggest misrepresentation is the “balcony.” It’s not a balcony, just a tiny fenced area with barely any space. No grill either, despite being advertised. Then the basics: no coffee in the room. When I asked the front desk, I was told I had to buy my own. It got worse that night. I returned around 1am and my keycard didn’t work. The front desk was closed. I called their so-called 24/7 number and was told someone would come. Almost an hour later, no one showed up. I called again and was told, half-asleep, that maybe I should “just get another room somewhere else.” Unbelievable. The next day, I was given new keycards, still didn’t work. After multiple trips back and forth, I finally got one that worked. Just when I thought it couldn’t get worse, the elevator was out on my last day. I was on a high floor with luggage, so taking the stairs wasn’t realistic. I had to wait nearly an hour just to check out and barely made my flight. Avoid this place at all costs. Total garbage.

There was so much dirt on ceiling fan we didn’t turn it on for fear of it going all over room. Blanket in closet stunk like it was never washed. Carpet dirty, furniture with rips and stains.
